James and Karen Marshall
CONVICTED: 2009
Duplicate Voting
Marotta pleaded guilty to attempted illegal voting, for casting ballots
in both Arizona and Colorado in the same election. His offense was
reduced to a misdemeanor after he paid a $4,600 fine and completed
50 hours of community service.
The Marshalls, residents of Green Valley, Arizona, admitted that they
voted by mail in Kansas during the 2008 election, after they had
become residents of Arizona. The couple also cast votes in Arizona
during the same election. The pair pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor
and were sentenced to a year of probation.
