FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS<br />
Pilates/Core-N-More – Strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture,<br />
flexibility, core strength and balance, and creates a more streamlined<br />
physique.<br />
Body Sculpting – There will be 15 minutes of low-impact aerobic<br />
movements for the warm up. Basic weight training using heavier<br />
weights. Format taught with 3 sets of 10 reps while learning how to<br />
“super set.” This class will show you how to work out in the gym or at<br />
home. This is a TOTAL BODY work out! Stretching techniques will be<br />
taught at the end of class.<br />
Cardio Sculpt – A combination of heart pumping, fat burning cardio and a<br />
weight workout designed to reshape and tone your body<br />
Fit over 50 – Low-impact movements and resistance training with a<br />
variety of equipment designed to improve balance and increase muscular<br />
strength and endurance. Designed for participants age 50 and over.<br />
Total Body Shape-Up – Focuses on differing levels of intensity to<br />
challenge and motivate participants, improving endurance, strength,<br />
flexibility and core strength through aerobic and resistance<br />
activities.<br />
Zumba – Zumba is a trade name for a dance fitness program created by<br />
dancer and choreographer Beto in Columbia during the 1990’s. Zumba is<br />
a fusion of Latin and International music that creates a dynamic,<br />
exciting and effective fitness workout!<br />
Hatha Yoga-Stretch, tone, and balance inside and out through Asanas<br />
(poses), breathing, and awareness.<br />
Power Hour- incorporates an intensive, choreographed workout, focusing<br />
on high intensity interval training segments and/or boot camp style<br />
workouts. Strength segments will include both body weight and light<br />
dumbbell components.<br />
Basic Weight Training- There will be 5 minutes of low to high impact<br />
movements for the warm up, followed by basic weight tr aining using<br />
heavier weights. Format taught with 3 sets of 10 reps while learning<br />
how to “super set”. This is a TOTAL BODY work out with abdominal<br />
exercises included. Stretching techniques will be taught at the end<br />
of class.<br />
Carido ‘n Core- 40 to 45 minutes of cardio (including warm-up and cooldown)<br />
plus 15 minutes Pilates-inspired core workout, cardio maybe<br />
step, kick-boxing, intervals or combos. All fitness levels welcome.
