Kite Art
Projects
Except for brief excursus into
the world of static and acrobatic
kites, kite works approach
different forms of art which
for now are limited to literature,
music and painting.
Not least the kite series totally
free from any popular artistic
form named "Kite Free". These
are very different amongst
themselves in terms of style,
they're like graphic research
studios. Every project is a "work
in progress" to which new ideas
are continuously added to
the existing ones, in an endless
crescendo.
Literature
Two kites dedicated to it. The
first is the story of "The Little
Prince" by Saint-Exupéry and
it is a mix between the popular
pictures of the book and a
graphic composition exercise.
The second one, which somewhat
cynically was called
"Parole al vento” (“Words in
the wind”) is inspired by Shakespeare,
Hesse, Joyce and Cervantes.
The idea behind it is
to bring back up, through the
images and words, the themes
addressed by the four authors
which are: the awareness of the
problem at the basis of existence,
in other words the disappointment
that mankind suffers
in front of reality through the
"Don Quijote"; the ambition, the
violence, the fate and the free
will with the Macbeth by Shakespeare
and with "Finnegans
Wake", by James Joyce, the death/resurrection
and fall/regeneration,
eventually concluding
through the consideration and
emotion with the "Das Glasperlenspiel"
by Hermann Hesse.
Music
“Music to my eyes” “Musica ai
miei occhi”. These works carry
a lot of irony. Music 'steals' the
sensorial domain to sight where
this path continues as a studio
to face new technical and
expressive solutions.
"Jazz" offers a jazz orchestra
that, in my opinion, represents
the "20th century classical music"
to which I am particularly
fond of.
"Canto", (Italian for “Song”), is a
series of situations to face the
world of the voice and singing.
Different faces intent in the act
of singing. I liked the idea of
enhancing the voice, first-ever
musical instrument that we all
have from birth but often forgotten
as such.
"Bach" which aided by the piano
and a piece of the aria of the
Goldberg Variations, stands as
the supreme and impassable
homage to the art of musical
composition.
Painting
Getting a painting to fly can be
quite easy, all it takes is four wires
at its ends!
These kites arise from remakes
and free interpretations of the
works of the great painters. Trespassing
on territories such as
graphic design and street art is
a must. The two painters currently
