Shortly before the most important heads of state gathered
for the G7 summit at Schloss Elmau in June 2015, Schloss
Elmau Retreat had opened only 150 m west of the castle.
The new luxury hotel is part of Schloss Elmau and yet
a world within itself.
The Retreat has 47 spacious suites with floor-to-ceiling
windows and a view of Wettersteinwand or the Ferchenbach
rushing through the resort. You will find your culinary
delight at the 'Summit' restaurant enjoying Thai cuisine or
at the cosmopolitan 'Tutto Mondo' suggesting specialities
from all over the world. Relish your precious Me-time or time
with your partner or family at the 2000 sqm large 'Shantigiri
Spa' that is divided into three separate areas for adults aged
14 or older, ladies and families with children. A 20-metrelong,
35-degree saltwater micro-jet pool, a cool plunge
pool and a sun terrace are waiting for you to relax. Wellness
for families is situated on the ground floor of the
Shantigiri Spa with a 25-metre-long, 32-degree lap pool
as well as a relaxation room with an open log fire and a
spectacular view of the mountains.
The roof terrace of the Retreat is equipped with
a 120 sqm Asian-style yoga pavilion, the venue for
regular yoga courses by the best yoga instructors of our
time. Guests of the Retreat may as well make use of the
offers at Schloss Elmau - the centenary lends itself to
enjoy the numerous pleasures. All throughout the year there
will be concerts by first-class musicians, discussions with
