Rawcliffe<br />
“...a business steeped in paper...”<br />
Built in 1889 for the Hull Chemical Wood Pulp Company, Rawcliffe has a<br />
long association with the papermaking industry.<br />
The Turner Paper Mill company was set up in 1898 by Mr Joseph Turner; he was<br />
the largest employer in the district employing at its peak over 400 people. The<br />
mill continued to make a wide range of high quality paper until July 1966 when<br />
papermaking ceased and the mill closed.<br />
LINPAC, a company which converted paper into corrugated cases, took over the<br />
premises in 1968 and occupied the former paper mill until 2002. D.S Smith<br />
Packaging then acquired the business, ultimately selling the site to the present<br />
owners at the beginning of 2013.<br />
Today Rawcliffe is thriving under the ownership of <strong>Cepac</strong> Ltd, the leading independent manufacturer of<br />
corrugated cases in the UK.<br />
<strong>Cepac</strong> is part of the HSA Group, a multi-billion dollar global corporation based in the Middle East that<br />
consists of over 92 companies. With a dynamic strategy and forward-thinking investment program, <strong>Cepac</strong><br />
Rawcliffe continues to shape its future and play a prominent part in the success of the <strong>Cepac</strong> Group.
