Snow Pond Symphony 2016 Season

The Mission for Snow Pond Center for the
Arts: To transform our community through
arts education. Strategically, we have three
broad, longer-term objectives.
To Be An Innovative Learning Center, that:
• Welcomes students of all ages to engage in
music and other arts
• Provides an inclusive, safe, and nurturing
environment that stimulates creativity,
competence, confidence and a commitment
to learning
• Partners with public and private schools in
the Central Maine region to provide equal
access to learning opportunities in the arts for
all students
• Identifies and develops the potential and
values of each student
• Promotes appreciation, performance, and
teaching of the arts, and raises awareness
that the arts are an integral part of all learning
To Be An Engaging Community Resource,
that:
• Brings our residents and visitors together
for social interaction and sharing of varied
cultural, educational, and recreational
experiences
• Engages understanding of the roles of
the community, family, and individuals in
the creation of a vibrant and prosperous
place to live [with a special emphasis on
environmental awareness]
To Be A Stimulus For Sustainable
Economic Growth, that:
• Attracts educators, artists, entrepreneurs,
and professionals to work and live in this
area
• Offers programs, events, and venues to
attract visitors, tourists, and performers
• Expands and enriches the summer
experience for our community
