(3) Mistakes and Lessons from <strong>the</strong> Work done / Misunderstand<strong>in</strong>g of t<strong>as</strong>ks of revolution<br />

Cruxes are shown first: (1) <strong>The</strong> MCP still conducted movement entirely b<strong>as</strong>ed on Ch<strong>in</strong>ese. (2) A<br />

unity party consisted of various peoples are wrong. <strong>Party</strong> should be a national party consist<strong>in</strong>g of<br />

one <strong>Malayan</strong> people [<strong>Malayan</strong> nationals= 马 来 亚 民 族 ?]. (3) Malay pe<strong>as</strong>ants and soldiers were<br />

neglected.<br />

Details are below:<br />

(a) To conduct Ch<strong>in</strong>ese rev. <strong>in</strong> Malaya<br />

Its objective causes are: MP [MCP] w<strong>as</strong> entirely built on Ch<strong>in</strong>ese members, responsible persons<br />

from Ch<strong>in</strong>a, <strong>the</strong> patriotism of Ch<strong>in</strong>ese toil<strong>in</strong>g m<strong>as</strong>ses <strong>in</strong> Malaya. Subjective causes are: lack of<br />

<strong>in</strong>vestigation on <strong>the</strong> special economic conditions of Malaya, lack of special <strong>in</strong>structions from CC of<br />

<strong>the</strong> CCP. <strong>The</strong>refore it departed from <strong>the</strong> practical life of Malaya and overlooked <strong>the</strong> fundamental<br />

t<strong>as</strong>ks of Malay (sic) revolution. This mistaken l<strong>in</strong>e on work h<strong>as</strong> not yet been corrected completely,<br />

notwithstand<strong>in</strong>g hav<strong>in</strong>g received explanation from CC (sic) and <strong>the</strong> Provisional Com (sic)<br />

(emph<strong>as</strong>is added). [In a later part of this document, <strong>the</strong> italicized part read: “through <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>struction<br />

of CC of Ch<strong>in</strong>ese <strong>Party</strong>”]. Only when all peoples <strong>in</strong> Malaya have united, <strong>the</strong> victory of rev.<br />

movement can be secured.<br />

(b) To organise a unity <strong>Party</strong> of Malay (sic) peoples.<br />

In view of <strong>the</strong> mistake that <strong>the</strong> system of Malay P. belongs to Ch<strong>in</strong>ese <strong>Party</strong>, some members <strong>in</strong>sist<br />

on organis<strong>in</strong>g an (sic) unity <strong>Party</strong> embrac<strong>in</strong>g all peoples <strong>in</strong> Malaya. This organisational l<strong>in</strong>e is also<br />

contradictory by <strong>the</strong> organisational pr<strong>in</strong>ciple of <strong>in</strong>ternational party, for <strong>the</strong> unit of organization is<br />

people. Each native people should organise a national <strong>Party</strong>. Foreign people should participate <strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> native <strong>Party</strong> <strong>as</strong> members. To organise a unity P. consist<strong>in</strong>g of various peoples is <strong>in</strong>correct.<br />

(c)<br />

Neglect of <strong>the</strong> work among pe<strong>as</strong>ants and soldiers.<br />
