(3) Recently, Secretary of <strong>the</strong> Provisional Committee of <strong>the</strong> CYL, Cd. Fu Zai Long ( 符<br />

在 隆 ), propounded to <strong>the</strong> m<strong>as</strong>ses of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Party</strong> how good Chen Du Xiu ( 陈 独 秀 )<br />

<strong>The</strong>ory w<strong>as</strong>. NPC not only did not dispose of him, it glossed over his serious<br />

mistake. Naturally Cd. Fu did not admit his mistake with Bolshevik spirit, let alone<br />

correct it.<br />

(4) In <strong>the</strong> p<strong>as</strong>t, <strong>the</strong> Nanyang <strong>Party</strong> made a serious mistake of bl<strong>in</strong>d actionism ( 盲 动 主<br />

义 ) on <strong>the</strong> one hand (a little of which rema<strong>in</strong>s), but after correct<strong>in</strong>g itself, it deeply<br />

sank <strong>in</strong>to non-actionism ( 不 动 主 义 ) on <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r. Not a little opportunistic tendency<br />

<strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> such ide<strong>as</strong> <strong>as</strong> peaceful development, legal movement, narrow nationalism,<br />

Ch<strong>in</strong>ese revolution <strong>in</strong> Nanyang and waitism ( 等 待 主 义 ) covertly rema<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Party</strong>.<br />

We must resolutely deal with <strong>the</strong> Third <strong>Party</strong> stratagem of <strong>the</strong> anti-reorganization<br />

faction. 16<br />

4. <strong>The</strong> Related <strong>Communist</strong> Movement <strong>in</strong> Thailand<br />

In <strong>the</strong> late 1930s, <strong>the</strong> Siam (Thai) communist organization sent a letter <strong>in</strong> Russian to Kuus<strong>in</strong>en<br />

(Куусинену) of <strong>the</strong> Com<strong>in</strong>tern. Below is a summary of <strong>the</strong> contents of <strong>the</strong> letter which referred to<br />

various developments with<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> early communist movement <strong>in</strong> Thailand:<br />

After <strong>the</strong> coup d’état of KMT <strong>in</strong> 1927, Cd.Tang (Танг. [Tang Sen Sheng?]) came from S<strong>in</strong>gapore.<br />

He had connections to <strong>the</strong> Provisional Committee of <strong>the</strong> Malay (Малаи) <strong>Communist</strong> <strong>Party</strong>. In <strong>the</strong><br />

name of <strong>the</strong> Siam Special Committee of <strong>the</strong> Malay CP, he organized a Ch<strong>in</strong>ese communist group.<br />

In 1928, <strong>the</strong> PC of <strong>the</strong> Malay CP (PCMCP) appo<strong>in</strong>ted Cd. Tang <strong>as</strong> secretary of <strong>the</strong> Siam <strong>Party</strong>. But<br />

dissatisfied with him, Siamese members expelled him. Tang <strong>the</strong>n set up ano<strong>the</strong>r special committee<br />

which w<strong>as</strong> not placed under <strong>the</strong> PCMCP but under <strong>the</strong> Guangdong Regional Committee.<br />

After Siamese organizations had almost collapsed, <strong>the</strong> PCMCP dispatched <strong>in</strong>spectors <strong>in</strong> February<br />

1930. At <strong>the</strong> enlarged Congress held <strong>in</strong> March 1930, <strong>the</strong> Siamese Committee of <strong>the</strong> Malay<br />

<strong>Communist</strong> <strong>Party</strong> w<strong>as</strong> set up.<br />
