(5) <strong>The</strong> Enlarged Plenum (Расширенный Пленум) w<strong>as</strong> officially held on 2 May. This<br />
Enlarged Plenum l<strong>as</strong>ted a full two weeks.<br />
(6) <strong>The</strong> Enlarged Plenum w<strong>as</strong> attended by all members of <strong>the</strong> PC; representatives of <strong>the</strong><br />
town committees of Penang, Seremban (Фу-жун. Fujung), Malacca, Kuala Lumpur<br />
(Ди-лунпо. Jilongpo) and Johor; and representatives of <strong>the</strong> special districts of Riau<br />
and Muar, local committees of E<strong>as</strong>t, West and Central Borneo, <strong>the</strong> special cell of<br />
seamen, <strong>the</strong> cell of rubber production workers, and <strong>the</strong> provisional committee of <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Communist</strong> Youth League (CYL), Workers Committee and <strong>the</strong> Anti-Imperialist<br />
League. Attend<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> [Enlarged?] Plenum <strong>as</strong> observers were Zheng T<strong>in</strong>g X<strong>in</strong>g<br />
(Чжен Тин Син) and Chen Dan (Чень Дан. Chen Yan?). Guangdong Regional<br />
Committee did not send any representative. In all, 30 persons attended <strong>the</strong><br />
[Enlarged?] Plenum.<br />
(7) Cd. Bo Yi (Бо-и. [Su Bi Yi = Su Pek-ngi?]), Cd.Bo Hai (бо хай [= Чень бо хай,<br />
Chen Bo Hai?]), Cd. Mu Heng (Mу хэн [= Хуан му хэн, Huang Mu Heng = Wong<br />
Muk-han?]) reported on <strong>the</strong> political situations, <strong>the</strong> strategies of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Party</strong> of Malay<br />
Archipelago and <strong>the</strong> activities of that <strong>Party</strong> respectively.<br />
(8) <strong>The</strong> Plenum recognized mistakes <strong>in</strong> lead<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> strike of <strong>the</strong> shoemakers and <strong>in</strong><br />
pay<strong>in</strong>g attention to workers’ economic struggles.<br />
(9) <strong>The</strong> Plenum accepted that <strong>the</strong> Ch<strong>in</strong>ese <strong>Party</strong> of <strong>the</strong> Malay Archipelago w<strong>as</strong> placed<br />
under <strong>the</strong> direct leadership of <strong>the</strong> PC.<br />
(10) In order to set up a national organization such <strong>as</strong> <strong>the</strong> one <strong>in</strong> Siam, a special<br />
committee should be organized.<br />
(11) A Commission would be organized to commence a nationalist movement.<br />
(12) <strong>The</strong> Ch<strong>in</strong>ese <strong>Party</strong> should appeal to <strong>as</strong> many Malays and Indians <strong>as</strong> possible. Under<br />
<strong>the</strong> leadership of <strong>the</strong> Com<strong>in</strong>tern, all nationals should be united <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> immediate<br />
future.<br />
(13) Ow<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>in</strong>sufficient reorganization at <strong>the</strong> Third <strong>Party</strong> Congress (emph<strong>as</strong>is added)<br />
(Третий Партийный Съезд), our <strong>Party</strong> and its steer<strong>in</strong>g committee were weak.<br />
(14) Reorganization of <strong>the</strong> PC: All sabotag<strong>in</strong>g, lagg<strong>in</strong>g and waver<strong>in</strong>g elements were<br />
purged. Courageous, honest and devoted comrades were specially selected.<br />
Comrades who orig<strong>in</strong>ated from workers and farmers were appo<strong>in</strong>ted to lead<strong>in</strong>g posts.<br />
