<strong>Sacred</strong> <strong>Trip</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>Uttrakhand</strong><br />

There are so many pilgrimages going <strong>to</strong> the Char Dham Yatra every year, this trip takes you <strong>to</strong> the hills of Uttarakhand. The trip<br />

begins from Haridwar, you can reach <strong>to</strong> Haridwar from Dehradun, which has the nearest airport only at a distance of 35 km, and<br />

Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi is the nearest airport. From Dehradun you can hire a cab or board <strong>to</strong> bus or<br />

train. You can reach Haridwar by road and train easily. It is <strong>co</strong>nnected through all the big cities.<br />

The best time <strong>to</strong> visit here is May – June and it would be better if you reach before 8 pm because driving is not allowed after it<br />

due <strong>to</strong> the hilly region. First, we reach <strong>to</strong> “Haridwar”, ac<strong>co</strong>rding <strong>to</strong> Hindu rituals and tradition, Haridwar is a place where the<br />

cremation ashes of the people are flown <strong>to</strong> the river Ganga. There are five pilgrimages, including Haridwar in Hindu tradition<br />

with "Gangadwar" (Har ki Pauri), Kushawart (Ghat in Kankhal), Bilwa Tirtha (Mansa Devi Temple) and Neel Parvat (Chandi Devi<br />

Temple).<br />

“Har ki Pauri” is a place, where the Ganga Aarti ceremony is performed at the dusk by thousands of priests and thousands of<br />

<strong>to</strong>urists witnessed this ceremony, this experience is much, much more spectacular from anything else, the light of the lamps and<br />

the sound of the ceremony make you feel heavenly. After the ceremony the pilgrims float the Diyas make the scene spectacular.
