2. The data should be collected in sufficient detail. The data should be compiled<br />

and presented in tabular as well as graphical form. The inventory data would<br />

be stored in computer files using simple utility packages, such as EXCEL.<br />

4.11.3.2 Pavement Investigation<br />

1. Pavement Composition<br />

i. The data concerning the pavement composition may be already available with<br />

the PWD. However, the Consultants shall make trial pits to ascertain the<br />

pavement composition. The test pit interval will be as per Para 4 below.<br />

ii.<br />

For each test pit, the following information shall be recorded:<br />

• test pit reference (Identification number, location):<br />

• pavement composition (material type and thickness); and<br />

• subgrade type (textural classification) and condition (dry, wet).<br />

2. Road and Pavement Condition Surveys<br />

i. Detailed field studies shall be carried out to collect road and pavement surface<br />

conditions. The data should generally cover:<br />

• pavement condition (surface distress type and extent);<br />

• shoulder condition;
