Alyssa - At first I really didn’t
think it was real. I didn’t think I
won because there were so many
gorgeous girls entered. My birthday
is June 3, which is the main reason
that I wanted to win because my
birthday is in the month I would
be in the magazine.
UR IT - Have you had other
modeling experience? If so, how
long have you been modeling?

Back Cover Model,
For this issue, UR IT Magazine once again
held a contest on social media in which
anyone could vote for a model by clicking
“like” on the photo(s) of their choice in an
album with back-cover model contestants.
The contest was open to new models.
For June, 15-year-old Alyssa of Morrisdale,
Pennsylvania was our winner! She shared
with us how it felt to win the contest and
her aspirations in life.
Alyssa
UR IT – Share a little bit about yourself.
Alyssa - I am in 10th grade and I work at the
West Branch Dairy Diner. I have a younger sister,
Michaela, who is 5, and a sister on the way
that will arrive in a few short weeks. Some fun
information about me is that I cheer for Cheer
Central and I am on ICE, which is a level-four allstar
team.
UR IT - How did you get involved with UR IT
and why did you make the decision to pursue
the opportunity?
Alyssa - I heard about UR IT through a few
models that go to my school. I entered into the
June back cover contest for fun, thinking I wasn’t
going to win because there were a lot of gorgeous
girls entered. As the contest went on, I was losing
almost the whole time. The last hour, I went up
almost 200 votes and went to first place.
UR IT - How did it feel to win and claim the
back cover spot?
Alyssa - I have never had any
other modeling experiences before
winning and becoming a UR IT
model.
UR IT - What are your goals for
the future?
Alyssa - My goals for the future are
to attend Clearfield County Career
and Technology Center for Health
Occupation Technology, graduate
from West Branch High School,
attend Lock Haven University
(LHU), and graduate with my
Registered Nursing (RN) degree.
Eventually, settle down and start a
family of my own.
UR IT - What overall advice
would you give to other girls
chasing goals?
Alyssa - The best advice I could
give to other girls like myself
trying to reach a goal is: “Never
give up no matter how impossible
it may seem. Life is like climbing
a mountain. You’re gonna fail and
come to bumps in your path, but
pick yourself up and continue. Be
you because it’s the best person you
can ever be! And most importantly,
don’t ever let someone tell you that
you can’t do something because
everything is possible!”
