ASCII Optimization File Contents
This section describes the content of the optimization file (.otm) in detail. The file is divided
into main sections, each with their own subsections:
• Initialization of Problem Data
• Optimization Phase
• Optimization Results
• Optimization Results with Respect to the Outer Loop
The level of the output is controlled by the parameter PRN_VAL (see “Specifying Design
Objectives Using .OBJECTIVE” on page 608).
Initialization of Problem Data
The first section of the optimization file (.otm), related to the initialization of problem data, is
divided into further subsections.
Section 1 - Scaling Transformation For Design Objectives
• Formula — Scaling formula, for example: Scaled Obj = DF * Simulated Obj.
• Type — Type of objective.
• Name — Label given to the objective.
• DF Factor — Magnitude factor.
• Weight — Weighting number.
• Rel Wght — Relative weight.
