Optimization Options
.OPTIMIZE
+ [METHOD=DICHOTOMY|SECANT|PASSFAIL|SEARCH]
+ [QUALIFIER=VALUE{, QUALIFIER=VALUE}]
+ [PARAM=LIST_OF_VARIABLES|*]
+ [RESULTS=LIST_OF_MEASURES|*]
+ [OUTER=LIST_OF_PARAMETERS]
Once the design variables and the design objectives have been defined, the .OPTIMIZE
command is added to the netlist file to request the optimization.
After simulating the netlist, run the viewotm command line utility on the optimization output
(.otm file) to display the optimization results. The syntax is:
viewotm [-l 1|2|3] -f file.otm

Optimization Options
The following Eldo options can be specified with the .OPTION command to modify execution
behavior for optimization. The links open the Simulator Options chapter in the Eldo Reference
Manual.
• .OPTION OPSELDO_ABSTRACT generates a summary table of simulations
containing parameter and extract values for each run.
• .OPTION OPSELDO_ALTER forces Eldo to perform optimization on all .ALTER
sections.
• .OPTION OPSELDO_DETAIL specifies the level of detail stored in the generated files.
• .OPTION OPSELDO_NETLIST generates a modified netlist containing the optimized
variable parameter values.
