Statistical Experimental Design and Analysis
Example of Conducting an Experiment
* EXTRACT SECTION
.EXTRACT AC LABEL=OPGAIN MAX(VDB(OUT)) LBOUND=20
.EXTRACT AC LABEL=OPFREQ XMAX(VDB(OUT)) LBOUND=9.95 UBOUND=10.05
The associated .PARAMDEX statements for noise and control parameters could be defined as
below. Here the noise parameters, which follow the normal distribution, are defined as having
levels with a standard deviation of 1.0 around the nominal value:
* NOISE FACTORS.PARAMDEX
+ D_R1 SIG=1.0
+ D_R2 SIG=1.0
+ D_R3 SIG=1.0
+ D_P1 SIG=1.0
The control parameters have levels with a relative perturbation of 20% around nominal values
that are defined by the NOM= argument:
* CONTROL FACTORS
.PARAMDEX
+ R1 CTRL/REL=20% NOM=159K
+ R2 CTRL/REL=20% NOM=3.18MEG
+ R3 CTRL/REL=20% NOM=79.5
+ P1 CTRL/REL=20% NOM=10
The following command conducts the experiment based on the performance responses defined
in the earlier .EXTRACT statements:
.DEX
+ EXPERIMENT=SCREENING
+ DESIGN=ORTHA_2_2N
+ RESPONSE=OPGAIN,OPFREQ
