Running Eldo
Simulation Connection Manager
This command checks the environment is compatible with the AMS tools, and if successful,
creates a script named eldo.local. You can then run your simulations with eldo.local instead of
the usual eldo command, with all the regular command-line arguments supported:
eldo.local cir_filename.cir [arguments]
This generated eldo.local script contains the minimum set of environment variables necessary
to run Eldo and the call to the executable. The script is machine dependent, which means that if
you want to submit multiple jobs on a computer farm you will have to generate the localized
script on each node of the grid and save it locally on the node.

Simulation Connection Manager
You can dynamically add .PLOT or .PROBE commands while a batch simulation is running.
This is useful if a simulation is running for days and you realize when analyzing the marching
waveforms that you need additional waveforms to be plotted. You can send these new .PLOT or
.PROBE commands to simulations running on remote machines or submitted via dispatchers.
Procedure
1. To begin an interactive exchange to dynamically add .PLOT or .PROBE commands
while an Eldo simulation is running, run the simulation connection manager by entering
eldo -connect on the local machine.
eldo -connect
Eldo will browse the directory $HOME/.eldo/ in search of running simulations. The
active simulations are listed with their command line, for example:
