Example Extracting OPMODE, POW, and POWER Values
This example focuses on the OPMODE, POW, and POWER extract functions in DC analysis
mode.
Prerequisites
• This example uses the extract_overshoot_opamp.cir netlist in $MGC_AMS_HOME/
examples/eldo/
Procedure
1. Open the extract_overshoot_opamp.cir netlist in your preferred text editor, then add
these extract commands to the netlist, then save it:
.extract POW(XA3)
.extract POWER
.extract OPMODE(XA2.M*)
2. Run the simulation:
eldo extract_overshoot_opamp.cir
3. View the extract results in the standard output or open the .chi file.
Results
• The first extract is a measure of the DC power absorbed by instance XA3.
• The second extract is a measure of the total DC power.
• The third extract measures the operating mode of all transistors inside XA2.
