HSPICE Compatibility
Eldo provides partial compatibility with HSPICE ®1 . You can use an HSPICE netlist as an Eldo
input. The main effect of compat mode is that it accepts some HSPICE constructs and syntax.
Eldo HSPICE compatibility is invoked as follows:
eldo -compat ... cir_file_name
or by adding in the netlist the following option (must be set at the top of the design):
.OPTION COMPAT
Note
Argument -compat is equivalent to setting both -compmod and -compnet arguments.

Hybrid Compat Mode
You can select a portion of the design for compat mode to be applied, and leave the rest of the
design in native Eldo mode (an alternative to options COMPAT, COMPMOD, and
COMPNET). This is done by encapsulating the section of the circuit inside .COMPAT and
.ENDCOMPAT commands.
