tion. It can be checked how the organ responsible for the maintenance
of peace in the universal Organization has gathered more power and
authority in this area over time. Also, this paper discusses the attitude
adopted by the Security Council to the different cases of nuclear
proliferation. The double goal is to examine to what extent the positions
of the different members of the Security Council can affect in the
Council’s action, as well as to analyze their influence on the nuclear
non-proliferation and disarmament regime.
