Tennis Surrey has great pleasure in providing
a guide to registered venues that offer a range
of tennis activities in the county. To find your
nearest or most convenient club or venue,
Highland Spring Mini Tennis
Children between three and ten years old can now get stuck into the world of
tennis with an exciting programme from the LTA sponsored by Highland Spring.
With smaller courts, nets and rackets and lower bouncing balls, Highland Spring
Mini Tennis offers the perfect introduction to the sport, with all the fun and
energy of the real thing. There are four stages of Highland Spring Mini Tennis:
Tots, Red, Orange and Green, each with their own court size and type of ball.
This tailored approach enables players to develop vital skills and techniques at an
early stage.
Cardio Tennis is a fun, social group fitness class set on a tennis court and open
to people of all ages and abilities. Supported by music and qualified instructors,
you’ll get to hit lots of tennis balls during your class and have a great cardio
workout at the same time.
Tennis Tuesdays – social tennis, serious fun
Nike, in partnership with the LTA, bring a fun social way to play tennis for
women on Tuesdays.
Do you play a handful of times a year or perhaps you haven’t played in the last
couple of years? You can hit the ball over the net and in the court to have a
short rally with a partner, but you still make quite a few mistakes? Then Tennis
Tuesdays is for you. Each week’s session focuses on a different area of the
game and you will improve your ability with a mixture of skills training from
professional coaches and match play with other women at your level.
If you’re interested in any of the above, ask your local club whether they offer
these options or visit the LTA website – www.lta.org.uk/play
