Vedran Vukusic has had an uncommon career since he is not a pure Croatian product. He
spent four years at Northwestern University in Chicago and played in the NCAA. There, he
was the star of the team, averaging 19.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in his senior year. Then
he moved to Israel to play for Hapoel Ironi Nahariya. He has spent the last three seasons
in Cibona Zagreb and played in both the Euroleague and the Adriatic League. He is a solid
and athletic player with a nice shooting touch from outside the three-point arc. He will try to
make the national team for the first time this summer, having averaged 6.8 points and 3.6
rebounds this season in the Euroleague. Playing the 2010 FIBA World Championship would
undoubtedly boost his career and help him to gain experience.

Mario Delas is considered to be the leader among the talented new Croatian generation. He
earned a Bronze medal at the U19 FIBA World Championship last summer and was named
the MVP of the competition, averaging 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He is a pure
product of KK Split and moved to Zalgiris Kaunas in January 2010. He is a very complete
player, able to score inside and outside the paint. He also developed a nice shooting touch
from outside the three-point arc but will need to improve his physical game to become a
consistent player at senior level. He remains a solid candidate to make the senior national
team to play at the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey.

olan Vukusic üç sayı çizgisinin gerisinde de harikalar yaratıyor. Bu yaz ilk kez milli takıma
katılacak oyuncu bu sezon Euroleague’de 6.8 sayı ve 3.6 ribaunt ortalamalarına ulaştı. 2010
FIBA Dünya Şampiyonası’nda oynamak şüphesiz ki kariyeri için çok büyük bir adım olacak ve
deneyim kazanmasını sağlayacak.

Mario Delas yeni Hırvat jenerasyonunun lideri olarak biliniyor. Geçen yıl U19 FIBA Dünya
Şampiyonası’nda bronz madalya kazandı ve 20.0 sayı, 7.0 ribaunt ve 2.2 asist ortalamalarıyla
turnuvanın MVP’si seçildi. KK Split’in oyuncusu olan Delas Ocak 2010’da Zalgiris Kaunas
kadrosuna katıldı. Boyalı alanın hem içinden hem dışından rahatça sayı üretebiliyor. Üç sayı
çizgisinin gerisinden attığı sayılarla göz doldursa da üst seviyede bir oyun çıkarabilmesi için
fiziksel gücünü biraz daha geliştirmesi gerekiyor. Türkiye 2010 FIBA Dünya Şampiyonası’nda
kadro vizesini eline alabilecek kadar sağlam bir aday olduğu da bir gerçek.
