Mokhtar Ghyaza is the perfect substitute. He is always doing his job to rebound as a backup
center. A good shooter with good percentages from three or four meters, he is adept at
selecting his shots wisely. He made 64 percent of his field goals at last year’s FIBA Africa
Championship. In the bronze medal game, he hit all seven of his shots and added five
rebounds, two blocks, two assists and two steals.

Marouen has great experience with the National Team. The short point guard is perfect when
he enters the game to provide a boost. He is a player who can come off the bench and give
everything for five minutes and then return to the bench. The captain of Club Africain might not
have a perfect body shape but he is a real danger for defences.

Laghnej is the third guard in the team. He played in only five games at the 2007 FIBA Africa
Championship in Angola and made only 25% of his shots. Coach Tlatli expected a lot more
from him causing his absence at last summer’s FIBA Africa Championship. A very quick player,
his play is best suited to the tight defense that leads to fastbreaks type of play of Tunisia.
Nizar KNIOUA
Height: 1.88 (6-2)
Position: Shooting Guard

Career: Stade Nabeulien (Tunisia-Nationale A, 2005-10).
He is often described as “The Wolf” of the team. Great at getting in the passing lanes for
steals, he is like poison for opposing guards – always sticking to their sneakers. Very clever
and a good shooter, he compensates for his short size (1.88m) with an amazing amount of
energy on the court. Born in Nabeul and still playing in Stade Nabeulien, he recently won his
third national title in five years.

(1.88 cm) sahadaki enerjisiyle telafi edebiliyor. Nabeul’da doğan ve hala Stade Nabeulien’de
oynayan Knioua beş yıl içinde üçüncü milli şampiyonluğuna ulaştı.
