Naïm is a player who can have a real impact on any game. He had a two-year spell in Egypt at
Masr Shark Insurance, a club that dropped into the second division at the end of 2009 season. He
came back this season to Club Africain where he was originally playing when he was 17. He brings
his long-range shooting efficiency, is very experienced, and will be an essential player for Tunisia
in the FIBA World Championship.

Maoua is the pillar of the Cathago Eagles and has worn the National Team jersey since 1999
when he was just 18. He has played in six consecutive FIBA African Championships. He had
his first experience in Europe this season, joining CB Huelva in LEB Silver. “I can save the
team anytime,” he used to say, as he can hit bank shots when the game seems over. He had
a tough season in Spain in LEB Silver (the Spanish third division), playing only 10 minutes per
game and scoring 3.8 points on 30 percent shooting.

Career: Stade Nabeulien (Tunisia-Nationale A, 2004-10).
Following the FIBA Africa U20 Championship in Dakar, all scouts thought Mohamed Hdidane
would have a great future. Selected for the 2004 Basketball Without Borders Africa, he then
entered Winchendon (Mass) High School and was named for the World Select Team of the
Nike Hoop Summit in 2005. The interest of universities was growing but a four-year college
stint was considered as too long for his career expectations. So he decided to come back
to Tunisia at Stade Nabeulien at the age of 19 in 2005. He is seen as a half-god by fans!
Technically, he is one of the best players on Tunisia’s National Team and has perfect ball
handling skills. Standing 206cm tall, he is a real forward. His only issue is his free-throw
shooting, a problem that bothered him during the 2009 FIBA Africa Championship when he hit
just 31 percent from the free-throw line. The FIBA World Championship is a second chance
for him to show his talent to the World for the man Nabeul people have nicknamed “Hamoudi”.

üst üste FIBA Afrika Şampiyonası’nda oynadı. Bu sezon Avrupa ile ilk deneyimini CB Huelva’da
yaşadı. Oyun bitti gibi gözükürken bile banko şutlar atarak “Takımı her zaman kurtarabilirim”
mesajı veriyordu. İspanya’da LEB Silver ile zorlu bir sezon geçirdi ve maç başına sadece 10
dakika sahada kalarak 3.8 sayı ve %30 isabet yüzdesine ulaştı.

FIBA Afrika U20 Dakar Şampiyonası’nı takiben tüm gözcüler Mohamed Hdidane’ın gelecekte
çok parlak bir oyuncu olacağını düşünüyordu. 2004 Basketball Without Borders Afrika için
seçilen oyuncu daha sonra Winchendon Lisesi’ne devam etti ve 2005 Nike Hoop Summit’de
World Select Team’e seçildi. Üniversitelerin gösterdiği ilgi her geçen gün artıyordu ama dört
yıllığına bir üniversiteye bağlanmak kariyer hedeflerine göre fazla uzun bir süreydi. Bu yüzden
2005’de Tunus’un Stade Nabeulien takımına geri döndü. Taraftarlar onun yarı Tanrı olduğunu
bile düşünüyor! Teknik açıdan Tunus Milli takımının en iyi oyuncularından ve topa çok güzel
hakim olabiliyor. Boyu 2.06 cm olduğundan ideal bir forvet oyuncusu. Tek sorunu serbest
atışlarında ve bu sorun 2009 FIBA Afrika Şampiyonası’nda da onun yakasını bırakmadı
ve serbest atış çizgisinden attığı şutlarda %31’lik isabet oranıyla oynadı. Naneul halkının
“Hamoudi” lakabıyla tanıdığı oyuncu için FIBA Dünya Şampiyonası, yeteneklerini sergilemesi
için onun ikinci şansı olacak.
