While Rida finished the season on the podium with Sporting Al Riyadi, he spent most of the<br />
last campaign with Champville. He didn’t have a great season in terms of numbers as he didn’t<br />
shoot the ball maybe as well as he can but nevertheless, he remains a highly talented player<br />
whose defensive capabilities in particular are highly valuable to the team. Plays passionately<br />
and brings a lot of energy to the team and while occasionally this can boil over and affect his<br />
game, his never-say-die attitude is a big asset to the team. He remains a good option to bring<br />
off the bench to shore up an opponent and at the other end of the floor to knock down a triple.<br />
He is always aggressive and positive in everything he does on the court.<br />

Akl is an exciting young player who already has experience of playing in a big tournament for<br />
his country after <strong>com</strong>ing off the bench last year at the <strong>FIBA</strong> Asia Championships. His value<br />
and potential is no better underlined than by the decision of his club team Sporting Al Riyadi<br />
to tie him down on a long term deal. Another product of the youth programme of Lebanon<br />
basketball, Akl is a guard who knows what it takes to deliver for his country. He is gradually<br />
improving the defensive aspects of his game while with the ball in his hands, he is a more<br />
than capable playmaker. Having just <strong>com</strong>pleted a first season with Al Riyadi, he is be<strong>com</strong>ing<br />
more accustomed to the limelight and he looks destined to have a successful career for both<br />

Yapabileceği kadar topla buluşamadı belki ama yetenekli bir savunma oyuncusu olarak<br />

Sporting Al Riyadi’nin de gözünden kaçmadı ve onunla uzun süreli bir sözleşme imzaladı.<br />
Akl da, Lübnan gençlik programının bir oyuncusu. Akl, ülkesi için neler yapılması gerektiğini<br />
bilen iyi bir oyun kurucu. Topa sahipken savunma özelliklerini oldukça geliştiren Akl, bir oyun<br />
kurucudan daha fazlası. Al Riyadi ile geçirdiği ilk sezonun sonunda ilginin odak noktası olan<br />
oyuncu, ilerleyen dönemde gerek kendi kariyeri gerekse de kulübü ve ülkesi için çok daha<br />
başarılı işler yapacak.<br />
