Maharaja George Jivajirao Scindia of Gwalior (r.1925-48) was known for his<br />

passion for toy cars and trains. He famously installed a silver train in the Jai<br />

Villas Palace to serve condiments to his guests at mealtimes. This portrait<br />

depicts the prince in his youth shortly before his accession.<br />
