DRAGON TAIL<br />

Incarnum forms a row of <strong>dragon</strong> vertebrae floating inches from<br />

your own spine. Ribs grow from the vertebrae, creating a cloak<br />

that conceals your back. The cloak continues to grow behind you,<br />

extending into a long <strong>dragon</strong> tail.<br />

You form a draconic tail that can strike foes, dealing 1d8<br />

points of bludgeoning damage + your Strength modifier. You<br />

can make one attack per round with the tail as a standard<br />

action. The tail does not threaten a space, cannot be used<br />

to make attacks of opportunity, and cannot be used if you<br />

are grappled.<br />

Essentia: For every point of essentia invested in your<br />

<strong>dragon</strong> tail, the tail’s attack gains a +1 enhancement bonus<br />

on attack rolls and damage rolls.<br />

Chakra Bind (Feet)<br />

The tail of this soulmeld grows broad and thick.<br />

The <strong>dragon</strong> tail provides you with a measure of stability. You<br />

gain a +2 competence bonus on Balance and Swim checks.<br />

For each point of essentia invested in your <strong>dragon</strong> tail, the<br />

bonus improves by 2.<br />

Chakra Bind (Waist)<br />

The vertebrae fuse to your back, the ribs blending into your own. The tail<br />

becomes lively and animate, constantly twitching from side to side.<br />

The <strong>dragon</strong> tail has reach as if it were a reach weapon sized for<br />

you, though it still can’t be used to make attacks of opportunity.<br />

Its damage dealt increases to 2d6 points + 1-1/2 × your<br />

Strength bonus.<br />

Chakra Bind (Totem)<br />

The tail takes on the appearance of flesh and bone and becomes<br />

more agile and animated.<br />

As a standard action, you can make a tail sweep. All creatures<br />

adjacent to you automatically take damage as if they had been<br />

struck by your <strong>dragon</strong> tail (Reflex half).<br />

DRAGONFIRE MASK<br />

Classes: Totemist<br />

Chakra: Brow, throat (totem)<br />

Incarnum forms a <strong>dragon</strong> head of dull blue fire that wreaths your<br />

head and floats above your shoulders. It stares straight ahead, its<br />

expression unchanging. The eyes and mouth of the <strong>dragon</strong> head are<br />

full of brighter, flickering fire that shoots out light.<br />

Dragons are renowned for their amazing visual acuity and<br />

unsettling presence, but even more so for their devastating<br />

breath weapons. This soulmeld combines all three aspects<br />

into a single potent mask. Totemists revel in the normal<br />

benefits they receive from this soulmeld and the effect its<br />

appearance can have on the meek and fearful.<br />

You gain low-light vision while this soulmeld is shaped.<br />

If you already have low-light vision, you gain no additional<br />

benefit.<br />

Essentia: For every point of essentia invested in your<br />

<strong>dragon</strong>fire mask, you gain a +2 competence bonus on Spot<br />

checks.<br />

Chakra Bind (Brow)<br />

Your own eyes flicker with the same flames that burn within your<br />

<strong>dragon</strong> head.<br />

You gain darkvision out to 60 feet (or your existing darkvision<br />

extends another 30 feet).<br />

Chakra Bind (Throat)<br />

A seething ring of fire encircles your neck, and wisps of smoke occasionally<br />

burst from the <strong>dragon</strong> head.<br />

You gain the ability to emit a fiery breath weapon as a standard<br />

action. The breath weapon is a 30-foot cone that deals 2d6<br />

points of fire damage + an extra 1d6 points of fire damage<br />

for every point of essentia invested in your <strong>dragon</strong>fire mask.<br />

Targets are allowed a Reflex save for half damage. After using<br />

your breath weapon, you must wait 1d4 rounds before you<br />

can use it again.<br />

Chakra Bind (Totem)<br />

The <strong>dragon</strong> head becomes a solid blue mask, forming a hollow shape<br />

that completely encloses your head at a distance. Fire still trails from<br />

its eyes and open mouth.<br />

You can emanate an aura of frightful presence once per round<br />

as a swift action. All creatures within 10 feet with fewer Hit<br />

Dice than you become shaken for 1 round. A successful Will<br />

save negates the effect and renders the creature immune to<br />

the frightful presence of this soulmeld for 24 hours. For every<br />

point of essentia you have invested in your <strong>dragon</strong>fire mask,<br />

the radius of the frightful presence increases by 10 feet, and<br />

its duration increases by 1 round.<br />
