By bus: the Transdev Harrogate & District number 24 service runs regularly from Harrogate into the AONB through Lower Nidderdale to Pateley Bridge (www. harrogatebus.co.uk). Harrogate is easily accessible by bus from surrounding towns and cities such as York, Leeds and Ripon. By train: the nearest train station is Harrogate with regular services from Leeds and York. By plane: Leeds Bradford International Airport is about a 10 minute drive from Otley at the southern end of the AONB or 30 minutes from Harrogate. Regular bus services (737) run from the airport to Harrogate (737) or Otley (967). By road: the AONB is easily accessible from the A1(M) and the A61 to the east and the A65, A59, M65 and M62 to the south. The AONB is a 10 minute drive from Harrogate, 20 minutes from Skipton, 30 minutes from Leeds and only 45 minutes from the City of York. 6 www.nidderdaleaonb.org.uk In 2015 the Nidderdale Plus Office in Pateley Bridge relocated and combined with other services to create a brand new one-stop-shop. The office now combines visitor information services, the library, community transport, police, business information, council customer service points and more.
