We’re looking for one more outstanding graphic designer to join our expanding,<br />
award-winning team in Devon. You must have a solid foundation in visual design, as<br />
well as a proven track record in delivering results on a consistent basis.<br />
Job Description<br />
You will be responsible for bringing content to life by effectively implementing brand<br />
guidelines and creating versatile elearning design solutions. You must have a flair for<br />
generating good ideas and be able to produce high-end creative design.<br />
Good communication skills are essential, as you will be expected to convey concepts<br />
and ideas effectively to the numerous departments as well as taking responsibility for<br />
providing continuous direction to individual developers, content writers and fellow<br />
designers.<br />
You must have meticulous attention to detail, the ability to view your designs through<br />
the eyes of the user, as well as an overall critical design eye to ensure that a consistent<br />
standard is upheld throughout the projects life cycle.<br />
Having a good understanding of user interface design is essential, while knowledge<br />
of working with illustration, animation and video would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities<br />
• Participate at the highest level in designing themes and concepts for elearning<br />
courses.<br />
• Designing a suite of intuitive page layouts and assets per project to the highest<br />
standard.<br />
• Brief and advise Developers and content writers about your designs during the<br />
course of the project, ensuring consistency is kept.<br />
• Provide support to any junior members of the department if problems or issues<br />
arise.<br />
• Work alongside the Sales department to provide creative support on pitches for<br />
prospective clients.<br />
• Be answerable to the Senior <strong>Graphic</strong> <strong>Designer</strong> and Managers of a project.<br />
• Liaise with our Marketing department, providing support for internal and external<br />
projects for Sponge UK.<br />
Essential Skills and Qualities<br />
As well as being extremely driven and having a desire to grow your skills and<br />
career, the ideal <strong>Designer</strong> will:<br />
• Be educated - preferably to degree level or an equivalent qualification in design.<br />
• Have experience in a commercial environment, working in the design industry,<br />
reporting your progress to the designated project manager.<br />
• Have the ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload with confidence<br />
and efficiency.<br />
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills.<br />
Essential skills:<br />
• Illustrator<br />
• Photoshop<br />
• Knowledge of website design / UI / UX<br />
Highly desirable skills:<br />
• Adobe After Effects<br />
• Knowledge of responsive web design and multi-touch devices<br />
• User interface design
