Overview

We’re looking for one more outstanding graphic designer to join our expanding,
award-winning team in Devon. You must have a solid foundation in visual design, as
well as a proven track record in delivering results on a consistent basis.
Job Description
You will be responsible for bringing content to life by effectively implementing brand
guidelines and creating versatile elearning design solutions. You must have a flair for
generating good ideas and be able to produce high-end creative design.
Good communication skills are essential, as you will be expected to convey concepts
and ideas effectively to the numerous departments as well as taking responsibility for
providing continuous direction to individual developers, content writers and fellow
designers.
You must have meticulous attention to detail, the ability to view your designs through
the eyes of the user, as well as an overall critical design eye to ensure that a consistent
standard is upheld throughout the projects life cycle.
Having a good understanding of user interface design is essential, while knowledge
of working with illustration, animation and video would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
• Participate at the highest level in designing themes and concepts for elearning
courses.
• Designing a suite of intuitive page layouts and assets per project to the highest
standard.
• Brief and advise Developers and content writers about your designs during the
course of the project, ensuring consistency is kept.
• Provide support to any junior members of the department if problems or issues
arise.
• Work alongside the Sales department to provide creative support on pitches for
prospective clients.
• Be answerable to the Senior Graphic Designer and Managers of a project.
• Liaise with our Marketing department, providing support for internal and external
projects for Sponge UK.
Essential Skills and Qualities
As well as being extremely driven and having a desire to grow your skills and
career, the ideal Designer will:
• Be educated - preferably to degree level or an equivalent qualification in design.
• Have experience in a commercial environment, working in the design industry,
reporting your progress to the designated project manager.
• Have the ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload with confidence
and efficiency.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills.
Essential skills:
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• Knowledge of website design / UI / UX
Highly desirable skills:
• Adobe After Effects
• Knowledge of responsive web design and multi-touch devices
• User interface design
