1247 SA SKYA PAN DITA (SAKYA PAN DITA) (1182–1251)<br />

submits to Gödan Khan, beginning the first<br />

priest/patron relationship between a Tibetan LAMA<br />

and a Mongol Khan.<br />

1357 TSONG KHA PA (1357–1419) is born. He becomes<br />

an important Tibetan reformer and founder <strong>of</strong> DGE<br />

LUGS (GELUK; Yellow Hat) order.<br />
