38753 (351st BG) returned to USA Jun 1945<br />

38757 (384th BG, 547th BS) crashed in England<br />

38760 (95th BG, 335th BS, "Lucky Lady") hit<br />

by flak over target during mission to<br />

Biblis Dec 24, 1944 and crashlanded in<br />

field near Sarrable, just behind<br />

Allied front line. No injuries to<br />

crew.<br />

38764 (303rd BG, 359th BS) damaged by AAA<br />

during mission to Lutzkendorf,<br />

Germany Feb 9, 1945. Aircraf could not<br />

maintain formation,<br />

lost altitude and on route back<br />

encountered 14 enemy aircraft.<br />

Believing the aircraft to be<br />

defenseless, the pilot ordered his<br />

crew to bail out. 7 crewmen did, and<br />

became POW. However,<br />

a group of Mustangs showed up and drove<br />

off the enemyh fighters and<br />

the remaining 2 crewmen attempted to<br />

bring the damaged plane<br />

back to friendly territory. They<br />

bailed out near St. Trond, Belgium<br />

and returned to Molesworth. The<br />

pilotless Fortress made a<br />

wheels-up belly landing near Bockholt,<br />

Belgium.<br />

38768 (447th BG, 708th BS, *Beelzebub*)<br />

returned to USA Jul 5, 1945, arrived<br />

Kingman, AZ Dec 13, 1945. Sold for<br />

scrap Jul 1, 1946<br />

38771 (381st BG) retired to Kingman, AZ Dec<br />

3, 1945. I also have this plane as being<br />

lost with the 56th BG at Texel,<br />

Netherlands Feb 3, 1945, with 7 KIA.<br />

38776 (95th BG, 334th BS, "Victory<br />
