Sci Electric Public Company Limited up the growths of the mobile subscribers and technology continuously. From frequency bids on 1800 MHz and 900 MHz, the bid results are as follows: 1800 MHz frequency on 11-12 November 2015; • 1st Set of Bidder offering bid price of 39,792 million Baht was True Move H Universal Communication Co., Ltd. • 2nd Set of Bidder offering bid price of 40,986 million Baht was Advance Wireless Network Co., Ltd. 900 MHz frequency on 15-19 December 2015; • 1st Set of Bidder offering bid price of 75,654 million Baht was JAS Mobile Broadband Co., Ltd. • 2nd Set of Bidder offering bid price of 76,298 million Baht was True Move H Universal Communication Co., Ltd. After the bids, all 3 main Mobile Operators have mapped out the plans to expand the infrastructure continuously as follows: AIS progressively moves forward on the developments of its networks and service work by abundantly spending the budget of 40,000 million Baht in 1 year to forge ahead with laying down its network to cover the areas throughout the country this forthcoming May 2016 (Telecom & Innovation Journal, Volume 16-19 February 2016). In this respect, AIS has to return to TOT the original infrastructure towers. AIS can, in the future, invest in its own infrastructure under 1800 MHz frequency latest acquired from NBTC in conjunction with its previous 2100 MHz. Where DTAC has launched a campaign abundantly spending over 70,000 million Baht on 4G service network development and organized marketing campaign in order to enable mobile subscribers to utilize 3G/4G for thorough coverage in full efficiency. Power Production Industry Situation The present Power Development Plan is the Country Power Development Plan, B. E. 2555-2573 (2012-2030) (PDP 2010), Revision No. 3. However, Ministry of Energy has drafted a new Power Development Plan which is the Power Development Plan of Thailand, B. E. 2558-2579 (2015-2036) (PDP 2015), approved by a resolution of National Energy Commission (NEC) on 14 May 2015. In drafting PDP 2015, the assumption on Gross Domestic Product (GDP), 2013-2036, at the average of 3.94% per year is used in comparison with the original plan at 4.41% per year. Any rate, PDP 2015 places the importance on the stability of power system in the country by reiterating the diversifications on the sources and type of fuel fuels for use in the power productions. Such new PDP will reduce the proportion of dependability on natural gas down to remain to not exceed 40% in 2036 from 65% of the present maximum power requirement quantity. In addition, the power productions from clean coals will be increased from approximately 19% to 20%-25% and the proportion on the purchase of hydropower from neighboring country increased to 15%-20%. Moreover, the draft of PDP 2015 places the importance on the promotion of power production from biomass fuel and biogas in order to create the advantages jointly with farmers and communities in solving enormously excessive garbage by increasing the power production proportion from renewable energy or circulating energy from approximately 8% to 15%-20%.
