Trstenik is a village in Ćićarija, in the municipality of Lanišće,<br />
at 697 m above the sea level, 8 km northwest of the municipal<br />
center Lanišće. It is located on the road that leads from Lanišće<br />
for Dane (Lanišće) and Vodice (Lanišće), near the intersection of<br />
Brest (Lanišće) and Buzet, on a small hill between two longitudinal<br />
valleys. Residents are traditionally engaged in agriculture and<br />
cattle breeding, and lived most of the milk and wood they have<br />
sold. According to the census in the late 19th century, Trstenik<br />
counted 223 inhabitants, followed by steadily losing population,<br />
and slowly dying.<br />
