Woodruff’s wife, Lee, will be accepting the award on her husband’s behalf. Lee is co-author of Woodruff’s 2008 best-selling memoir, In an Instant. The award honors an individual or group outside of the medical profession dedicated to advancing public understanding and awareness of neurologic disease, being effective advocates for neuroscience research, and making significant contributions to improve patient care.
