It was a long day and you’ve just gotten home from work. You enter your dream home and all of a sudden<br />

everything that was weighing you down outside just melts away. The stunning, open and bright space<br />

of your main floor captures you and you head over to the kitchen to pour yourself a glass of sparkling<br />

Queen West” - voted the “World’s Second Hippest District” by Vogue (you never tire of telling people<br />

that!). One of your favourite indie bands is playing live at The Drake and you decide to check them out.<br />

Afterwards you stop by the Gladstone on your way home just because you feel like it.<br />

Your Saturday morning routine includes a 5 minute walk to Luna, which has become your new favourite<br />

cafe and brunch spot. You grab a latte and sit outside to read the paper and wonder if Rachel MacAdams<br />

will walk by because you heard she lives in the area and loves this place as well. Afterwards you head<br />

up to Dundas Street just in time to grab one of those incredible Portuguese custard tarts from your<br />

favourite bake shop - they’re fresh out of the oven and the smell is simply mesmerizing.<br />

Everything you want and need is right around you: the trendiest bars, the coolest restaurants and cafes,<br />

the finest butchers and bakers, all amidst that awesome tranquility you get from living on <strong>Stonehouse</strong><br />

GREETINGS FROM THE SELLERS<br />

Welcome to our beloved soon-to-be-former home! Perhaps this will now be your new<br />

home?<br />

For the past eight years, we have loved living at <strong>10</strong> <strong>Stonehouse</strong> <strong>Cres</strong>cent. We were<br />

awestruck from the moment we first saw the house with its large open-concept main<br />

floor, the high ceilings and that original exposed brick wall! We never tire of hearing firsttime<br />

visitors’ “Wows!” as they step in the front door. We have also enjoyed the natural<br />

brightness with large windows on three sides and a southern exposure.<br />

<strong>10</strong> <strong>Stonehouse</strong> is a great entertaining home. We have hosted anything from large<br />

cocktail parties where guests circulated and mingled comfortably to family sit-down<br />

dinner parties for up to eighteen people. The kitchen island has served as a bar, a buffet<br />

station and a plating area for more formal dinners. The huge stainless steel island is<br />

also baker's dream surface and will certainly be missed when the urge to bake strikes in<br />

the future. The 30" deep cupboards and counters provide great storage and working<br />

space.<br />

We have enjoyed the convenience of living in the city mere steps away from great<br />

public transit and a garage that holds both of our cars and bicycles (and we don’t even<br />

have to shovel a driveway!). The views from <strong>10</strong> <strong>Stonehouse</strong> <strong>Cres</strong>cent range from a<br />

cityscape including the CN Tower to an open sky view from the third floor deck which<br />

offers views of fireworks, the annual CNE air show and stargazing.<br />

We have always considered <strong>Stonehouse</strong> <strong>Cres</strong>cent to be a secret gem in the city. It is in<br />

close proximity to a variety of restaurants and night clubs yet we enjoyed a quiet street<br />

and peaceful nights for sleeping. We will miss walking to the Brazil Bakery to pick up<br />

fresh-from-the-oven malasaddas (think sugar-coated bear claws) on Sunday mornings<br />

and Asian take-out from both the Sukhothai and the Pho Phuong restaurants almost any<br />

time. We have enjoyed brunches, cocktails, and live bands at the Gladstone, the Drake,<br />

and the Lula Lounge – all of which are a stone’s throw away. We have nearby trails for<br />

long bike rides and runs that gave us many opportunities for photography. We will miss<br />

the diverse cultural street festivals and art events just outside our door.<br />

We hope that you feel <strong>10</strong> <strong>Stonehouse</strong> will always make you feel ‘at home’!<br />
