2011 Camp at El Rancho
At the end of the 2011 school year our Year 7’s
and 8’s went off to camp at El Rancho in
Waikanae. We stayed there for four days and three
nights. We all participated in activities like horse
riding, go-karting, flying fox, shooting, archery,
swimming, tubing down the river and going down
a giant water slide.
On one of the days we went to the beach. We
found blue bottle jelly fish on the beach, dug for
pipi’s and played around a bit.
At night we played spot light, had a talent show
and competed in marshmallow and team games.
Miss Pickering and Jo looked after us on camp
and made sure that we were all safe and enjoying
ourselves. Mrs Johnson stayed on Monday night,
Mr Robertson on Tuesday night and Whea
Michelle stayed on Wednesday night. Thank you
to all the parents and teachers for coming and
having fun with us.
On the way home we stopped at a chocolate
factory. We stocked up on chocolates and goodies.
Then we went to the wave pools in Upper Hutt
and had a bit of a swim.
We all had an awesome time! We all went home
that night to have a BIG sleep!!!!
By Room 5 (2011).
Congratulations to past pupils Zoe Flack, who
received achievements certificates for first place
in Physical Education and Textiles at Solway
College at the end of 2011, and Tatiana Daysh
who was Dux Proxime of the Senior School for
2011 as well as receiving diligence awards for
excellence and effort in English and History. She
also received achievement certificates for first
place in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and
Mathematics with Calculus.
