Exmoor Lodge
In memory of
George and Ellie
For the second year running, a
Car Meet event held at Southwest
Karting in Cheddar has raised money
for the Charity. Jak ‘Titch’ Titchener
from Southwest Karting organised
the event last year in memory of
friends George Stott and Ellie Clare,
who tragically died in a road traffic
incident. This year, Jak decided to
run the event with additional help
from PJ at Sweetshop Automotive, a
car enthusiasts club.
As a result of better organisation
and some great publicity, the event
raised £2,092; nearly £700 more than
last year. PJ and Jak were delighted to
visit the airbase to present paramedic
Claire Baker with their recent
fundraising cheque and plan to
support the Charity again next year.
The Somerset Freemasons, Exmoor Lodge
No 2390, selected Dorset and Somerset Air
Ambulance as one of their chosen charities in
2015. Volunteer Gail Everett attended a cheque
presentation and dinner at the Masonic Hall and
was delighted to be presented with a cheque for
£500 from Worshipful Brother, John Lendon.
Happy birthday
Mr Wells, a local Parish Councillor for 48 years and
a key part of the Somerset Football Association,
celebrated his 80th birthday with a special dinner
at Mendip Golf Club. Instead of receiving presents,
he asked his friends and family for donations
to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. After
receiving an amazing £550, Mr Wells generously
topped this up to £700. Thank you!

Transport of Yesteryear’s Annual Fun Day and Car Show will once again support
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance in 2016. This popular event, now in its 18th
year, will take place on 26 June at School Hill in Chickerell. A spectacular day of
music, fairground rides, trade stands, food stalls, car boot sale, and of course an
array of classic and vintage vehicles, will not disappoint those who attend.
