BECK’S CropKarb ® Study 2014 PFR Partners CropKarb is a true biostimulant product, utilizing “next generation” biostimulant chemistry. CropKarb is a proprietary formulation of urea nitrogen, potassium, boron, a proprietary mobile carbon source, and DeltAg’s active catalyst chemistry. CropKarb is designed to enhance bloom set, fruit sizing, and bulking. CropKarb works by delivering key nutrients and catalysts, as well as a supplemental mobile carbon source to the fruiting portion of the crop. CropKarb can be applied on its own, but mainly will be used as a tank mix with a foliar application. In general, yield gains of 4.21 Bu./A. were realized from additional insect protection. Figure 2 illustrates that each of the rootworm trait platforms did not receive ample yield benefit to offset the cost of the soil-applied insecticide. As a result, net losses averaged -$2.55 to -$22.60/A. When evaluating soil-applied insecticides on non-traited hybrids, economic gains of $9.42/A. were achieved.
