BECK’S V5 Fungicide Trials 2014 PFR Partners Beck’s Hybrids conducted V5 fungicide research trials in 2014 as a part of the PFR Partners program. This program was designed to apply multiple fungicide products in side-by-side comparisons in an on-farm testing project with growers interested in evaluating fungicides. This report states the name of the Partners, the location of the farm, corn hybrid tested and the yield response of each specific fungicide treatment. All fungicide treatments are 15 gallons per acre or higher, ground-applied with either a Hagie STS, Miller Nitro or New Holland Guardian high-clearance sprayer. All applications were made at the V5 growth stage. The products used in this protocol included the following: 1. 2 oz. Stratego ® YLD Trifloxystrobin + Prothioconazole Bayer 2. 4 oz. Priaxor ® Pyraclostrobin + Fluxapyroxad BASF Bayer CropScience recommends using a 50% rate of Stratego YLD on V5 corn while BASF recommends 100% rate of Priaxor.
