The Bulls also had an eight-point lead against BU. • USF led Troy by 14 points, 44-30, with 3:11 remaining in the first half before being outscored 38-28 in the second half in an 82-77 loss. • USF led NJIT by 15 points, 23-8, with 6:29 remaining in the first half. The Bulls led by 10 points, 50-40, with 6:05 left in the game and five points, 57-52, with 1:48 on the clock before losing 60-57. • USF held an eight point lead, 18-10, with 11:36 remaining in the first half against Boston before losing 78-66. <strong>BULLS</strong> WELCOME TRANSFER ISAIAH MANDERSON • USF added Texas Tech transfer Isaiah Manderson to the team for the spring semester. The 6-10, 255-pound forward averaged 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game last season as a freshman. He appeared in four games as a sophomore this season and averaged 3.0 points and 1.6 rebounds. • Manderson is a native of Bronx, N.Y. and played his senior season of high school at Oldsmar Christian School in nearby Oldsmar, Fla. The same school that current USF guard Troy Holston Jr. played at. He was rated a three-star recruit out of high school and was rated the 18th best player in the state of Florida by ESPN. com. • Manderson is eligible to practice with the team immediately and will be eligible to play after the 2016 fall semester ends. He will be a junior next season. <strong>BULLS</strong> SIGN THREE Orlando Antigua and his staff announced the signing of three on Nov. 13, during the early signing period. • Troy Baxter is a 6-8, 190-pound forward from Tallahassee, Fla. He was rated four stars by Rivals, ESPN and 247Sports and is currently playing for Oldsmar Christian in nearby Oldsmar, Fla. Baxter was one of the first players that Antigua targeted after accepting the USF job in 2014. • Andres Feliz is a 6-2, 180-pound guard originally from the Dominican Republic, but currently plays for West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Fla. He was given a three-star rating by Rivals.com. Last season, Feliz helped West Oaks to a 32-4 record and a SIAA state championship. This past summer he was the starting point guard for the Dominican Republic at the U19 FIBA World Championships with USF assistant coach Oliver Antigua also on staff. He was the leading scorer on the team and in the tournament with 18.9 points averaged over seven games. Also last summer, Feliz was the youngest of the group that played wiith the Dominican Republic National Team at the Pan-American Games in Toronto. • Malik Fitts is a 6-5, 215-pound small forward from La Verne, Calif. who is in his final season at Brewster Academy Prep in New Hampshire. He is a Rivals.com three-star recruit and is ranked 2016-17 ROSTER // A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE 6 // // @USFMBB No. 55 among small forwards in the 2016 class. Prior to Brewster, attended Damien High School in La Verne and helped his team win the CIF D3 State Championship. • HoopSeen.com ranked the recruiting classes in the American Athletic Conference and placed the Bulls third behind No. 1 UConn and No. 2 Cincinnati. It also lists Andres Feliz as the best scorer in the class and Troy Baxter as the best athlete. Website writer Justin Young went on to say this: Troy Baxter is a highlight reel with unique size. Andres Feliz has league-leading scoring potential while Malik Fitts is a top 300 level talent. A HEALTHY CHRIS PERRY • Junior forward Chris Perry was forced to miss the last 12 games of his sophomore season. After going through the proper medical tests, Perry told the media in July that it was a left-ventricle issue in his heart, which he was born with, that shortened his season. He was cleared to participate in team activities in May. The native of nearby Bartow, Fla., was a member of the Preseason American Athletic Conference Second Team last season after being named to the all-rookie team as a freshman. Perry led the Bulls with 7.1 rebounds per game and ranked second in points with 10.8. USF lost 11 of its last 13 games without him. • “He’s a monster, man. He’s a great player, he’s got touch; right or left jump-hooks. Just a big body, can rebound the basketball, his basketball IQ is off the roof. To have him back full-time, I think that’s gonna really, really help USF.” - UConn Head Coach Kevin Ollie at conference media day on Oct. 27. DOMINICAN TIES USF has two coaches and three players with ties to the Dominican Republic. • Head Coach Orlando Antigua was born in the Dominican Republic and coached the Dominican Republic National Team in 2013 and 2014. • Orlando’s brother, Oliver Antigua, is an assistant coach at USF and was also born in the Dominican Republic. Oliver has also coached the Dominican Republic, most recently the U19 team this past summer. With the Antigua’s on staff, USF has embraced players with Dominican heritage. • Senior guard Nehemias Morillo was born and raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic before moving to New York in 2010. Morillo competed for his country at the 2015 Pan-American Games this past summer. • Newcomer Angel Nunez is originally from the Dominican and played for the Dominican Republic Select Team last season. • Freshman Luis Santos grew up in Santiago, Dominican Republic before moving to the U.S. prior to his sophomore season. • This roster provides a glimpse of what USF’s roster will look like next season as of today.
