one message 

Una profesora en clase saca de su cartera un billete 

y lo enseña a sus alumnos a la vez que pregunta: 

“¿A quién le gustaría tener este billete?”. 

Todos los alumnos levantan la mano. 

Entonces la profesora coge el billete y lo arruga, 

haciéndolo una bola. Incluso lo rasga un poquito 

en una esquina. “¿Quién sigue queriéndolo?”. 

Todos los alumnos volvieron a levantar la mano. 

Finalmente, la profesora tira el billete al suelo y lo 

pisa repetidamente, diciendo: “¿Aún queréis este 

billete?”. Todos los alumnos respondieron que sí. 

Entonces la profesora les dijo: “Espero que de aquí 

aprendáis una lección importante hoy. Aunque he 

arrugado el billete, lo he pisado y tirado al suelo… 

todos habéis querido tener el billete porque 

su valor no había cambiado. 

Muchas veces en la vida te ofenden, hay 

personas que te lastiman, te ignoran, 

te humillan, te critican, y los acontecimientos 

te sacuden, te duelen, dejándote hecho una bola o 

tirado en el suelo. Pero recuerda, 

eso no te cambiara NUNCA, Dios nos hizo 

con amor y nos ama siempre, levántate y sigue. 

En la vida no todo es rosa 

pero existe el azul del cielo 

y la luz trasparente 

que delinea 

el poder de Dios

A teacher in class takes a bill out of her wallet 

and shows it to her students while asking: 

"Who would like to have this bill?". 

All the students raised their hands. 

Then the teacher takes the bill and wrinkles it, 

making a ball. Even a little tear in the corner. 

"Who's still wants it?". All the students raised 

their hands again. 

Finally, the teacher throws the bill to the ground 

and repeatedly stepped on it, saying: "Do you still 

want this bill?". All the students answered yes. 

Then the teacher said, "I hope here today you all 

learn an important lesson. Although I crumpled the 

bill, walked on it and threw it to the ground… 

all you wished to have the bill because

Many times in life you get offended, there are 

people who hurt you, ignore you, humiliate you, 

criticize you, and events shake you, hurt you, 

leaving you in a ball or lying on the ground. 

But remember, that will NEVER change you, 

God made us with love and he will love us always, 

get up and move forward.

CONSEJOS DE MAQUILLAJE 

El maquillaje, te podría decir que es como la sonrisa 

de la cara, si, y realmente un poco de maquillaje no 

le cae mal a nadie, incluso considero que refuerza el 

auto estima, porque verte bien, te hace sentir mejor.. 

ANIMATE. 

¡aquí te dejamos unos consejos de maquillaje!: 

Consejo comienza por maquillar primero los ojos, 

por si haces un error con las sombras, delineador o 

mascara, no destruyas tu base de maquillaje y no te 

olvides de las cejas delinéalas de acuerdo a tu tipo 

de cara, combínalas con el tono de tu pelo. 

¡Los ojos! 

¿Quieres que tu mirada brille? Entonces aplicar 

sombra de ojos clara y luminosa-blanca o satinada, 

por ejemplo- abajo de las cejas y una poco en la 

esquina del ojo, también puedes tratar de utilizar 

una sombra de tres tonos diferentes creando un 

efecto arcoíris que queda espectacular. 

Comienza primero con el color claro: 

aplícalo y extiéndelo por todo el 

párpado. Luego, aplica el tono 

intermedio solamente en el 

límite del párpado y para 

terminar, el color más oscuro 

asomándose mas. ¡recuerda 

es muy importante maquillarte 

de acuerdo a la ocasión!. 

Veamos ahora, 

las últimas tendencias en 

maquillaje una es la de los ojos 

ahumados, que consiste en 

aplicar sombra usando color 

plateado, negro o gris, aunque se le 

puede agregar un toque de color- y difuminarla 

delicadamente para crear el efecto ahumado, 

este estilo se recomienda para fiestas. 

¡La Prebase! 

La prebase es el complemento para asegurarte 

que el maquillaje esté ideal más tiempo, atenuando 

las imperfecciones de la tez. 

¡La base! 

Es muy importante elegir la base de maquillaje que mejor 

se adapte al color de tu piel. 

Debe verse el rostro fresco y natural. 

¡El labial! 

De acuerdo a la ocasión y colores de moda escoge 

el color sin olvidar la edad, debe ser siempre el mas 

apropiado a tu estilo y comodidad, te recomendamos 

colocar un poco de base sobre los labios antes de aplicar 

la barra de labial. ¿Por qué? La base permite que el 

maquillaje se concentre y dure más tiempo….Así que con

En esta época los niños pasan la mayor 

parte del tiempo en el internet, juegos 

electrónicos y cada vez mas los parques 

de diversión al aire libre están mas, y 

mas solos, como resultado niños obesos, 

confundidos, adictos a lo anterior. 

Me molesta mucho cuando les gritan, les 

culpan y les maltratan hasta les pegan, 

otros padres tratan según de llamarles la 

atención diciéndoles porque lo haces, 

déjalo un rato, haciéndose como que los 

educan y los peores son estos que aceptan 

que sus hijos estén hipnotizados con esto 

totalmente de acuerdo. 

Comencemos por el principio, quien le 

compra esto a los niños, y porque… Pues 

los padres, que bien pueden no hacerlo, 

para que se entretengan y dejen de 

molestar a los padres, mas cómodo que no. 

Imagínate tener que sacarlo al parque, o 

llevarlo a hacer un deporte, ay no que 

fastidio, ser un padre real, responsable y 

consiente, siendo que al final será peor la 

irresponsabilidad de no ser un verdadero 

padre y tener control con esto. 

Por supuesto que el gobierno no le 

importa, entre mas se enfermen los niños 

mas trabajo tienen, los doctores, la venta 

de farmacéuticos, los consejeros, los 

funerales, etc. todo esto genera mucho 

dinero al gobierno como para hacer algo al 

respecto. Además viendo pornografía en

la redes sociales y por donde se camine, 

que tu crees que no se da cuenta el 

gobierno de este cochinero, claro que si 

o de la violencia de los juegos que 

autorizan su venta o de el alcohol y

mas peor sea la humanidad mas ganancias 

para todo el gobierno. 

Imagínate un mundo sano, y sin 

problemas mmm que raro seria, no 

hubiera tanto rico acosta de quien… 

La verdad es que nosotros tenemos la 

culpa de lo que vivimos permitimos o 

aceptamos en nuestra vida. 

Así que si no quieres que tu hijo use 

juegos electrónicos o pase en el internet 

con acceso de todo gratuitamente, es muy 

sencillo, hazle caso, sácalo de eso con 

amor, suavemente convéntelo, sin gritos, 

amenazas, golpes maltrato. 

Sácalo de eso tu, llévatelo al parque, a la 

iglesia o al zoológico si no crees en Dios, 

inscríbelo en un deporte o arte, llévalos a 

eventos de la escuela o de la sociedad, 

existen mucha distracción sana y gratuita 

infórmate ponte las pilas.. 

Se un verdadero padre, edúcalo, amalo, 

cuídalo, es tu hijo y solo tu puedes hacer 

que salga de esas cuatro paredes, 

desencadénalo ya. 

Todo el mundo aspira a la vida dichosa con bienes y solo consiste en el amor

y procedente de San Salvador, 

El Salvador 

Claudia que recuerdos tienes de tu 

niñez: Soy única hija. Cuando era 

chica me encantaba ir a los parques 

de diversión y al zoológico con mi 

papa en San Salvador. Soy como 

mi papi- Cristóbal me fascinan los 

animales. Los respeto. También 

recuerdo que cuando llegaba a casa 

después de la escuela mi mami 

Carmen me esperaba con el almuerzo 

ya hecho. Ella cocina muy delicioso!... 

Cuando era niña unas de mis 

actividades favoritas en El Salvador 

era trepar el árbol de guayaba que 

estaba en el patio. Mi primera 

mascota fue una paloma, después 

tuve otras, y unos loros al igual que 

una tortuga. Amo a los animales. 

El oso panda gigante es mi favorito, 

por eso es que con frecuencia hacen 

una apariencia en el noticiero. Por el 

momento tengo 5 mascotas- si 5! 

Mis perros Princess Pierre y Boston, 

mi conejito Bandit El Bandido, y dos 

tortugas que hasta ahora no tienen 

nombre. 

Todos los domingos íbamos a la 

iglesia. Mis padres me inculcaron 

desde muy chica la palabra de Dios. 

Eso es un gran tesoro y siempre le doy 

gracias a Dios por haberme prestado 

a dos seres tan magníficos para que 

fueran mis padres. 

Claudia nos cuenta como llego a USA, 

Inmígrame con mis padres a los 

Estados Unidos cuando tenía 9 años y 

acababa de terminar el segundo 

grado en mi país. Al salir del 

aeropuerto en Boston Mi Tía Abigail 

me dio la bienvenida tirándome una 

bola de nieve! Si- dolió un poco! 

Claudia ¿Obstáculos en la vida?: 

El obstáculo más duro 

que he enfrentado fue 

cuando vine a este país 

sin saber hablar inglés. 

Los niños en la escuela 

me hablaban y yo no los entendía. 

No tenía con quien jugar porque no 

podría comunicarme con ellos. Casi 

todas las mañanas lloraba porque no 

quería ir a la escuela. También odiaba 

tener que esperar el autobús escolar 

afuera de nuestra vivienda, 

especialmente cuando había mucho 

frío. Esos fueron los primeros seis 

meses de mi vida en este país. Mi 

segundo año escolar fue mejor y 

seguí aprendiendo el idioma. 

Fue durante este tiempo que empecé 

a tomar clases de piano. Creo que 

tome clases durante un periodo de 

cinco años pero tristemente deje de 

tocar, y ahora me arrepiento. Pero 

nunca es tarde- verdad?. -Claro que 

nunca es tarde Claudia, y lo que 

aprendes nadie te lo puede arrebatar, 

esperamos en el futuro escucharte 

tocar el piano y cantar. 

N o s r e l a t a d o n d e a s i s t i ó 

escolarmente: Después estudie en la 

escuela McDough hasta graduarme 

del sexto grado, después fui a HillSi 

de Middle School donde fui parte del 

coro. Me encantaba cantar y tenía 

bonita voz. Después fui a la 

preparatoria Manchester High School. 

C u a t r o a ñ o s 

d e s p u é s m e 

g r a d u é c o n 

honores. Durante 

esos cuatro años 

de “high school” 

forme parte del 

equipo de tenis, 

fui parte de un 

club de escritores, 

fui miembro del 

club del libro del 

año, y también fui 

miembro de un 

grupo del medio 

ambiente. Salíamos 

a recoger 

basura durante los 

fines de semana. 

“ S e ñ o r a s y 

señores hay que 

cuidar a nuestra 

planeta, solo 

tenemos uno! 

Debemos proteger 

a los animales, la 

vida silvestre, debemos de hacer algo 

por ellos, ya muchos animales han 

llegado a la extinción”. Los crímenes 

contra animales deben parar! 

En el 2001 Me gradué de Emmanuel 

College en Boston, Massachusetts 

con una licenciatura en inglés y 

comunicaciones. Fue durante mi 

último año que hice un “internship” 

en el noticiero CBS Boston y me 

enamore del periodismo. Un año 

después empecé a estudiar el 

periodismo en Emerson Durante esos 

dos años tuve la oportunidad de 

entrevistar a muchos políticos en 

Iowa y en New Hampshire así como 

J ohn Ed ward s (exca ndidato 

unidos debemos alzar 

nuestras voces, solo así 

se logran los cambios.

A Quien admiras Claudia?: Las dos 

personas que yo admiro más en el 

mundo son mis padres: Carmen y 

Cristóbal. Son mis héroes! Son mis 

campeones y mis mejores amigos. 

Han sido los mejores padres del 

mundo. Sacrificaron mucho por mí. 

Dejaron a su país para que yo pudiera 

tener mejores oportunidades en 

Estados Unidos. Trabajaron muy duro 

para que yo pudiera salir adelante. 

Cuando me gradué de Emmanuel y 

Emerson College podía ver lo 

orgulloso que estaban de mí. Yo me 

siento muy orgullosa de ellos. 

Claudia ha sido una gran productora y 

presentadora titular de Telemundo 23 

Noticias de la Costa Central desde su 

debut en agosto del 2009. Desde 

entonces el público la ha apoyado 

muchísimo, sintonizando el noticiero 

todos los días y siguiéndola en las 

redes sociales exitosamente. 

Claudia les manda esta nota a toda 

esa gente hermosa que le ha apoyado 

siempre: Por ese gran apoyo le quiero 

dar las gracias a mis televidentes. Los 

quiero mucho! También les quiero 

decir que he decidido 

no seguir trabajando 

para esta empresa. 

Es tiempo de seguir 

creciendo en mi carrera 

y b u s c a r o t r a s 

o p o r t u n i d a d e s . 

Realmente deseamos 

de todo corazón que 

Dios la lleve a un nuevo 

y mejor horizonte.

Realmente Claudia es el ejemplo de 

superación que todos debemos 

conocer, llegar desde el Salvador, y 

sobresalir de esta manera es muestra 

de que todo lo que nos proponemos, 

trabajando por ello se puede lograr, 

sus éxitos, su gran humildad, su amor 

a los animales y todas sus cualidades, 

definitivamente para Paloma Revista 

es un honor felicitarla y nominarla

Journalism, also a pianist, singer 

and writer, a believer of God, born in 

the small central american country of 

El Salvador. Claudia what memories do 

you have from your childhood: I'm an 

only child. When I was little I loved to go 

to amusement parks and the zoo with 

my dad Cristobal. I love animals it’s 

something my dad and I have in 

common! They fascinate me. I respect 

them. I also remember coming home 

from school everyday and my mom 

Carmen would have lunch ready for 

me. She is a great cook! As a child in 

El Salvador, one of my favorite activities 

was climbing the guava tree in our 

backyard. My first pet was a pigeon, 

then I had others, and some parrots 

along with a turtle. I love animals. The 

giant panda is my favorite, which is why 

those bears often make an appearance 

in my newscast. At the moment I have 

5 pets-yes 5! My dogs Princess Pierre 

and Boston, my bunny Bandit el 

Bandido, and two turtles who at the 

moment don’t have names. My parents 

taught me from an early age the word 

of God and every Sunday we went to 

church. That is something I treasure 

and I always thank God for given me 

amazing parents. Claudia tells us how 

she came to U.S.: I came to the United 

States with my parents when I was 9 

years old, I had just finished the second 

grade. After exiting the airport in 

Boston my Aunt Abigail welcomed me 

by throwing a snowball at my head! Yes 

– it hurt a bit! Claudia, Obstacles in 

life ?: The toughest obstacle I faced 

was when I came to this country and 

did not speak English. The kids at 

school talked to me and I didn’t 

understand them. I had no one to play 

with during recess because I could 

not communicate with them. Most 

mornings I cried because I didn’t want 

to go to school. I hated having to wait 

for the school bus outside our home, 

especially when it was very cold. Those 

were the first six months of my life in 

this country Things started getting 

better the following school year as 

I continued learning English. It was 

during this time that I started taking 

piano lessons. I took lessons for five

stopped playing, and 

now I regret it. But it's 

never too late right? Of 

course it's never too 

late Claudia, and no one can take away 

what you learn, in the future we hope to 

hear you play the piano and sing. She 

tells us where she attended school: 

First I attended Highland Goffs Falls, 

then McDough Elementary, onto 

HillSide Middle School where I joined 

the chorus. I loved to sing and had a 

nice voice. Then I went to Manchester 

Central High School. Four years later I 

graduated with honors. In high school I 

was a member of the tennis team, a 

writers club, the yearbook, and also a 

member of the environment club. I 

would volunteer to go and pick up trash 

in some creeks, lakes, and trails. 

Ladies and gentlemen, we must take 

care for our planet, we only have one! 

We must protect animals, wildlife, 

many species have gone extinct. 

Crimes against animals must stop!”. 

In 2001, I graduated from Emmanuel 

College in Boston Massachusetts with a 

degree in English and Communications. 

It was during my senior year when I 

interned at the TV news station CBS 

Boston that I fell in love with broadcast 

journalism. A year later I went to 

graduate school and started studying to 

get my master’s in journalism at 

Emerson College. During those two 

years I had the opportunity to interview 

many politicians. As a student I 

traveled to Iowa for the caucuses and 

interviewed many presidential 

candidates including John Edwards and 

John Kerry who is now the Secretary of 

State. I also covered the New 

Hampshire Primary and the Super

degree. Claudia who do you admire?: 

The two people I admire most are my 

parents Carmen and Cristobal. They are 

my heroes! They are my champions and 

my best friends. They are the best 

parents in the world. They have 

sacrificed so much me. They left their 

country so that I could have better 

opportunities in the United States. 

They worked very hard for me to get 

ahead. When I graduated from 

Emmanuel and Emerson College I 

could see how proud they were of me. 

I am very proud of them!. Claudia has 

been a great news producer and lead 

anchor at Telemundo 23 Noticias de la 

Costa Central since it’s debut in August 

of 2009. Since then, the public has 

supported her very much by tuning in 

to the news every day and following her 

on social media. Claudia has a 

message for those who have supported 

her: I want to thank my viewers. I love 

you very much! I want you to know after 

much consideration I decided to leave 

this company. It’s time to continue 

growing and to explore other 

opportunities. Finally Claudia has a 

message for the Hispanic community: 

You need to be a united community. 

When something happens that is not 

correct you must raise your voice. Only 

then changes can be achieved. If you 

witness a crime report it without fear. 

God bless you!”. 

Claudia is a great example of what we 

can all overcome, immigrating from El 

Salvador, and excelling as she has is 

proof that everything we propose to do 

can be achieved. It is because of her 

achievements, her humbleness, her 

love of animals and all her qualities

William Shakespeare, nació en Strattford - 

on - Avon, en Londres el 23 de Abril de 1564. 

Vivió su niñez en contacto con la naturaleza. 

De formación autodidacta. Estudió sólo hasta los 

doce años porque su padre se quedó en la ruina 

y tuvo que desempeñar varios oficios para 

ayudarlo. Vivió durante el reinado de la reina 

Isabel y después de Jaime I. Quedó impresionado 

cuando vio una obra al aire libre a la que su padre 

le llevó a los 11 años, desde ese momento se sintió 

atraído por el arte dramático pues quedó 

sumamente impresionado. Se casó con Anne 

Hathaway a los 18 años. En 1587 se traslada a 

Londres e incursiona en el teatro con la "Compañía 

de los Burbage". Se hizo un actor y autor famoso 

antes de los 28 años. En 1610 se retira del teatro y 

regresa a su ciudad natal, aproximadamente, en 

1613, año en que dejó de escribir ahí donde adquirió 

una casa conocida como New Place, mientras 

invertía en bienes inmuebles de Londres la fortuna 

que había conseguido amasar. La andadura de 

Shakespeare como dramaturgo empezó tras su 

traslado a Londres, donde rápidamente adquirió 

fama y popularidad en su trabajo para la 

compañía Chaberlain's Men, más tarde conocida 

como King's Men, propietaria de dos teatros, 

The Globe y Blackfriars. También representó, con 

éxito, en la corte. Sus inicios fueron, sin embargo, 

humildes, y según las fuentes trabajó en los más 

variados oficios, si bien parece razonable suponer 

que estuvo desde el principio relacionado con el 

teatro, puesto que antes de consagrarse como autor 

se le conocía ya como actor. La publicación, en 1593,

románticos, realistas y simbolistas. “El amor de los 

jóvenes no está en el corazón, sino en los 

ojos” (Romeo y Julieta). Finalmente, cansado 

y enfermo, fallecio el 23 de abril de 1616.

SANTA TERESA DE JESUS 

Teresa de Ávila o Teresa de Cepeda y Ahumada 

nació en Ávila en 1515. Ingresó en el Carmelo de 

la Encarnación en 1554. Leyendo las Confesiones 

de san Agustín, se dio cuenta de que había 

perdido el tiempo en cosas vanas, entre crisis 

espirituales y misteriosas enfermedades. 

Entonces, una visión de Jesús sufriente la marcó 

profundamente. No sólo decidió cambiar su vida, 

sino que inició un período espiritual de visiones e 

iluminaciones. Esos fenómenos la turbaron 

profundamente en un principio, hasta que un 

providencial encuentro con san Francisco de 

Borja y con san Pedro de Alcántara le confirmó 

el origen divino de los fenómenos. Desde 

entonces Teresa cambió totalmente. Comenzó a 

concebir la idea de una reforma en el Carmelo 

capaz de recuperar la primitiva regla de la 

Orden. Así, guiada por Dios y con la ayuda de san 

Juan de la Cruz (quien a su vez reformó la rama 

masculina de su Orden). Fundó el monasterio 

carmelita de San José, fuera de las murallas de 

Ávila, primer convento del Carmelo reformado 

por ella. La fama de ese nuevo convento hizo que 

en 1562 acogiera a sus primeras novicias, 

y con el tiempo fue rápidamente suscitando 

admiración y rechazo. Comenzó entonces un 

período de gran fecundidad apostólica para la 

santa, que la llevó a fundar 17 monasterios. 

A partir de 1571, las visiones se intensificaron 

y Teresa vivió hasta los últimos años en un 

coloquio ininterrumpido con el Salvador. 

Fue una gran mística, y plasmó en sus escritos 

sus experiencias, escribió “El camino de la 

perfección”, “Pensamientos sobre el amor de 

Dios”, “El castillo interior”, y además, la historia 

de su vida. Murió en Alba de Tormes en la noche 

del 14 de octubre de 1582, y en 1622 fue 

proclamada santa. El 27 de septiembre de 1970 

Pablo VI la proclamó doctora de la Iglesia.

que muero porque no muero”’

SAINT TERESA OF JESUS 

Teresa of Avila or Teresa of Cepeda and 

Ahumada was born in Avila in 1515. She entered 

the Carmel of the Incarnation in 1554. Reading 

the Confessions of St. Augustine, she realized 

that she had lost time in vain things, among 

spiritual crises and mysterious diseases. 

Then a vision of Jesus suffering marked her 

deeply. Not only did she decided to change heir 

life, but began a period of spiritual visions and 

illuminations. These phenomena deeply troubled 

her at first, until a providential encounter with 

St. Francis Borgia and St. Peter of Alcantara

Carmel able to recover the primitive rule of the 

Order. Thus, guided by God and with the help of 

Juan de la Cruz (who in turn reformed the male 

branch of the Order). He founded the Carmelite 

monastery of San Jose, outside the walls of 

Avila, the first Carmelite convent was 

reformed because of her. The fame of this 

new convent in 1562 receive 

made her first novices, and eventually she was 

quickly arousing admiration and rejection. 

Then began a period of great apostolic 

fruitfulness to the saint, which led her to find

of her life. She died in Alba de Tormes on the 

night of October 14, 1582, and in 1622 was 

proclaimed a saint. On September 27, 1970 Paul 

VI proclaimed her a Doctor of the Church.

Frida Kahlo 

(Coyoacán, 6 de julio de 1907-13 de julio de 1954), 

fue una pintora, fotógrafa y poetisa mexicana. 

Casada con el célebre muralista Diego Rivera. 

Una de las pintoras más prominentes que ha 

tenido no sólo México, sino toda Latinoamérica es 

Frida Kahlo. Su nombre completo fue Magdalena 

Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón y nació el 6 de julio 

de 1907. Fue la tercera hija del matrimonio de 

Guillermo Kahlo y Matilde Calderón. A los seis años 

la poliomielitis le afectó su pierna derecha. 

Luego, ya adulta, un terrible accidente le lesionó 

una gran parte de su organismo incluyendo la 

columna vertebral y su aparato reproductivo, 

lo que más tarde le impediría ser madre. 

Aunque fue sometida 32 cirugías, su cuerpo 

quedó deformado. El sufrimiento por su cuerpo 

desfigurado y los problemas conyugales con Diego 

Rivera, tuvieron gran repercusión en la obra de 

Frida. Entre los cuadros más famosos están sus 

autorretratos. Su obra fue calificada de surrealista, 

pero ella afirmó que más bien era el reflejo de su 

propia realidad. Expuso en diversos países y fue 

galardonada. Murió el 13 de julio de 1954 en su 

Casa Azul hoy Museo Frida Kahlo se encuentra 

en Coyoacán en la esquina de Londres y 

Allende, Ciudad de México. Allí reposan sus restos 

y los de Diego Rivera, quien murió tres años 

después que ella.

Frida Kahlo 

(Coyoacan, 6 July 1907-13 July 1954) was a painter, 

photographer and Mexican poet. Married to the 

famous Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. 

One of the most prominent painters who had not only 

Mexico but all of Latin America is Frida Kahlo. 

Her full name was Magdalena Carmen 

Frida Kahlo Calderón, she was born on July 6, 1907. 

She was the third child of the marriage of 

Guillermo Kahlo and Matilde Calderon. At six polio 

affected her right leg. Then, as an adult, a terrible 

accident injured much of her body including the spine 

and reproductive tract, which later would prevent 

motherhood. Although she underwent 32 surgeries, her 

body was deformed. Suffering for her disfigured body 

and marital problems with Diego Rivera, this had a 

great impact on the work of Frida. Among the most 

famous paintings are her self-portraits. Her work was 

described as surreal, but she said it rather was a 

reflection of her own reality. She exhibited in 

various countries and was awarded. She died on July 13, 

1954 in her Blue House now Frida Kahlo Museum in 

Coyoacan located on the corner of London and Allende, 

Mexico City. There lie her remains and those of Diego 

Rivera, who died three years after her.
