French Designer and mother of twins, Carinne<br />
Abou-Huguet has been living in Dubai for over<br />
12 years.<br />
With a real passion for travelling, she always<br />
brought back traditional fabrics as souvenirs<br />
from every country she visited.<br />
When she settled down in Dubai back in 2003,<br />
the idea of using the local traditional scarf,<br />
called the guthra, to create pouches and tote<br />
bags, slowly surfaced. It was a way to twist<br />
the usage of this local Arabic printed fabric<br />
and transform it into contemporary fashion<br />
accessories.<br />
In 2011 she had the opportunity to create<br />
her own business and decided to launch<br />
<strong>KeenBags</strong>.<br />
For all her collections, Carinne buys her fabrics<br />
and accessories in the UAE. She works with<br />
a team of highly experienced tailors locally<br />
based, who contribute greatly to guaranteeing<br />
the quality level of all her designs.<br />
As of today, her collections go from beach<br />
bags, pouches and wallets as well as women<br />
garments such as tunics and home accessories.<br />
<strong>KeenBags</strong> is an official registered company<br />
at Dubai World Central. It is distributed in<br />
10 shops worldwide and soon online. It was<br />
twice selected by Fashion Forward as a local<br />
designer brand for Dubai Fashion Week in 2014<br />
& 2015.<br />
