their village clean from human

Major Innovative activities:
1. Committee members extend their support to Village
Water and Sanitation committee to strengthen their
operation in maintaining the availability of clean water in
the village. (In 19 Gram Panchayats VWSC are formed)
2. Converting open defecating areas to
Gardens/Orchards through MGNREGS scheme. (32
schemes are under taken for Annual Action Plan, 13
schemes are in implementation)
3. Committee members visit ICDS/health centers,
schools and Panchayat office in their village to monitor
the cleanliness and use of the toilet.
Other activities
1. Walking along the zone of open defecting area with all
the members of the committee reprimanding offenders
of safe defecation practice of using toilets
2. Children teams undertake checks on open defecators
by whistling in the open defecating areas during
prominent times of defecation
3. Members of the committee with others in the village
visiting defecating areas and putting flags on the human
waste with the name of the defecator.
