Major Innovative activities:<br />
1. Committee members extend their support to Village<br />
Water and Sanitation committee to strengthen their<br />
operation in maintaining the availability of clean water in<br />
the village. (In 19 Gram Panchayats VWSC are formed)<br />
2. Converting open defecating areas to<br />
Gardens/Orchards through MGNREGS scheme. (32<br />
schemes are under taken for Annual Action Plan, 13<br />
schemes are in implementation)<br />
3. Committee members visit ICDS/health centers,<br />
schools and Panchayat office in their village to monitor<br />
the cleanliness and use of the toilet.<br />

1. Walking along the zone of open defecting area with all<br />
the members of the committee reprimanding offenders<br />
of safe defecation practice of using toilets<br />
2. Children teams undertake checks on open defecators<br />
by whistling in the open defecating areas during<br />
prominent times of defecation<br />
3. Members of the committee with others in the village<br />
visiting defecating areas and putting flags on the human<br />
waste with the name of the defecator.
