Schließlich wurden die Konzepte praktisch an realen,
in der 0,13-µm-CMOS-Technologie des IHP gefertigten
schnellen Fouriertransformations (FFT)-Prozessoren
Finally, in order to prove our concepts in reality, we
fabricated low-eMI Fast Fourier transform (FFt) processors
using IHp‘s 0.13 um CMoS process, which were
able to run both in the synchronous and GAlS mode.
this FFt processor, shown in Fig. 4, also includes the
award winning pausible clocking architectures from
the Ieee ICCD conference in 2009. the measurements,
also illustrated in Fig. 4, have shown, for this relatively
simple structure, that FFt in GAlS mode achieves
approximately 13 dB better eMI characteristics than
in the best synchronous case. this result also corresponds
very well to the modeled eMI gain, extracted
from our tool, for this architecture.
