Im kürzlich begonnenen Projekt SINOVA werden gemeinsam
mit der RWTH Aachen und anderen Partnern
- aufbauend auf den Ergebnissen des in 2008 erfolgreich
abgeschlossenen Projektes Bandstrukturdesign
– grundlegende Arbeiten zu Herstellung und Eigenschaften
von Multi-Quantumwells aus nanokristallinen
Silizium-Schichten durchgeführt. Derartige Schichtsysteme
sind u.a. für Solarzellen der 3. Generation
von Interesse. Schwerpunkt der Arbeiten am Joint Lab
IHP / BTU Cottbus ist die Kristallisation der Schichten
mittels neuartiger Verfahren.
In the new project SInoVA basic research for manufacturing
and properties of multi quantum wells from
nanocrystalline layers will be carried out together
with the RWtH Aachen and other partners. this work
will build on the results of the project bandstructure
design, which was successfully finished in 2008. these
layer systems are among others of interest for 3rd
generation solar cells. Focus of the activities at the
Joint lab IHp / Btu Cottbus are new layer crystallization
techniques.
the cooperation with the Siltronic AG for future silicon
wafers will continue. experimental and theoretical
investigations on oxygen precipitates will be
conducted.
In the framework of the BMu-funded project Solar-
Focus synchrotron-microscopic methods were built
and applied for multicrystalline silicon for photovoltaics.
Very small precipitates could be analyzed with
this equipment. Goal of the research in the project
AVAntSolar is to support the development of better
techniques for the production of solar silicon, using
expertise on electrical activity of crystal defects and
specific diagnostic techniques. Another project for
using new silicon materials for the energy efficient
production of solar cells together with the company
Conergy was started.
