Streetscape Guidance
Recording departures from
national guidance
Consistency in application is of fundamental
importance for legibility and so any deviations
from national guidance and the national
approach to tactile provision should be carefully
justified.
Project files must record the reason for not
following the national guidance. This includes
recording how Streetscape Guidance has been
followed in respect of the aforementioned
departures from national guidance.
