For Julius,
Your perpetual state of awe and
wonder is an inspiration to us all.
We love you with our whole hearts.

We caught our first glimpse of you this week
only 0.64cm but with all of the raw ingredients for life
we even heard your heart beat
beginning the great gallop towards this world
you surprised us in Palm Springs with news of your arrival
amidst the blue skies, palm trees and warm winds of January
you came to us at the end of 2011
a year of great manifestation
revealing yourself to us
as the door opened to 2012
we love you already, small as you are
and we will do our best to take care of you, in and out of the womb
I am sure our journey with you will open us in new and unimaginable ways
we will reveal ourselves to each other slowly
through the unspoken language of creation
it is our first time at this, so please be patient
as we discover the best parts of ourselves
so we may grow together as a family
we are honored to write you into our book of life,
as you have chosen to allow us to be the author of your creation
in collaboration with God.
