source of much employment for local fishermen. The Pilchard Inn dates back to the mid 1300s - it's a 'Must See' place<br />

You can see Burgh Island in its entirety, it's well<br />

worth walking to the top for the spectacular views.<br />

The beach is called Bantham Beach (left) and is<br />

great for surfers, there's also a surfing academy which<br />

can provide lessons and hire. Also paddle boarding<br />

lessons and hire. Lifeguards are present on the beach.<br />
