Mike Bernard has a deserved reputation as
an artist with a great gift for “framing” a view
which deftly avoids the obvious, but with
subtle artistic licence captures the mood,
colour and spirit of the setting. Mike who was
trained at the Royal Academy Schools and a
member of the RI (patron HM The Queen) is
one of Britain’s leading landscape painters.
His collage style builds a sense of excitement
and hidden expectation in his work.
This is Mike’s fifteenth year as a leading artist
at Marine House. This new group of paintings
focuses on one of his great loves and a
cornerstone of his reputation, the harbours,
rivers and watering holes around Britain.
