FSA battles regime forces in western Ghouta and
advances in eastern Ghouta
DAMASCUS AND ITS COUNTRYSIDE
In western Ghouta, violent
clashes broke out between
FSA and regime forces
supported by local and
foreign militias on the
western front of Daraya city
after an attempt by regime
forces to separate Daraya
city form Mo’adamiya Al
Sham to tighten the siege
on both cities. Members of
Al Islam Martyrs Brigade
defeated regime forces
supported with a number of
tanks and minesweepers
amid heavy aircraft shelling
by regime aircraft.
In eastern Ghouta, the Joint
Operations Room gained
control of new locations
in Al-Marj area. RFS Media
Office correspondent in
eastern Ghouta reported
that the Room factions
gained control of new
locations in Al-Marj
following clashes that left
four regime troops killed.
They also mortared regime
premises at Erbeen front.
Meanwhile, Al Islam Army
destroyed a military
bulldozer with anti-tank
missile and killed four
members inside it on Al
Balaliya Front. In addition,
Al-Rahman Legion’s
Media Office said that
the Legion was able to
foil an infiltration attempt
by regime soldiers at the
eastern front of Jobar.

and announce that the Islamic Muthanna Movement is
an enemy

of the FSA used artillery
to target regime premises
in Qarfa town, Brigade 12
and Regiment 175 in Izra’
city. In the meantime, fierce
clashes broke out between
Southern Front factions
and regime troops on the
outskirts of Al-Manshiyeh
neighborhood in Dar’a
city leaving three regime
soldiers killed.
Regime forces, supported
by local and foreign militias,
regained control over most
of the neighborhoods
of Sheikh Meskin city in
Northern Dar’a countryside
under Russian air cover
which started targeting the
city since the beginning
of the regime assault with
hundreds of airstrikes.
Moreover, tens of barrel
bombs were dropped
by military helicopters
which forced FSA fighters
to retreat towards the
outskirts of the city after a
month of violent fights with
the attacking forces.
In the meantime, twelve
FSA military factions issued
a statement on Sunday
declaring that the Islamic
Al-Muthanna Movement is
an enemy. The statement
said that the Movement
will be battled until it gives
up and turn its fighters into
Horan’s court of justice.
Fierce clashes using light
and medium weapons
broke out earlier between
the Movement and FSA’s
Al-Yarmouk Army on the
outskirts of Naseeb town
leaving casualties and
injuries from both sides.
In addition, the Movement
previously attacked one of
Al-Yarmouk Army’s bases in
Ma’arbah city.

FSA factions in Al-Rastan of Homs northern countryside
restructure their formations

FSA factions in Al-Rastan announced
restructuring their Operations Room and
appointing general Hasan Al-Fatrawi as
commander. General Fatrawi told RFS
Media Office that “this step came in
order to reach higher military capacities
in fighting against regime forces trying
to advance in the countryside. The
Room’s factions are fighting at most of
the northern countryside fronts including
Jawaleek, Al-Mahatta, Al-Rastan and
Sneseel.”
The general added saying that “when
the battles began in Harbnafseh in the
southern countryside, we sent factions
there to perform our duty towards our
people there. We will soon coordinate with
the rest of the factions in the countryside
to move from defence to attack in order to
break the siege.”
Meanwhile, the Media Office of Homs
Liberation Movement, commanded by
Fateh Hassoun, announced honoring
its officers and promoting them in
a ceremony held in Homs northern
countryside. Rasheed Horani, military
spokesperson of the Movement, said that
“Homs Liberation Movement includes 120
officers, and it has been operating since
the revolution began. The Movement
was restructured fifteen months ago
and its command believe that its officers
deserve promotion for their successful
participation now.”

FSA gains control of two regime checkpoints in Hama eastern
countryside
HAMA
FSA factions along with other opposition
factions gained control of two regime
checkpoints near pro-regime Ma’an
village in Hama eastern countryside. RFS
Media Office in the area reported that the
factions gained control of Al-Khaima and
Al-Dahra checkpoints following clashes
that left fifteen regime soldiers killed in
addition to several others injured. The
factions also seized a regime tanks and
a 37 mm gun. Both checkpoints are
important as they are the first regime
defence line around Ma’an village, and a
place for regime artillery and troops.
In the southern countryside, FSA regained
full control of “Ma’aml al Bashakir” barrack
near Hirbnafsah town following clashes
that left several regime soldiers killed and
injured. Meanwhile, FSA snipers targeted
regime soldiers positioned at the Thermal
Station checkpoint amid airstrikes by
Russian aircraft and heavy regime artillery
and rocket shelling. Sham movement
targeted with rocket launchers sites of
the regime in Joureen camp in Sahl al
Ghab.
In the meantime, Nasr Army, affiliated with
FSA, destroyed a 33 mm gun for regime
forces in Bredeej camp in Hama western
countryside after targeting it with a Fagot
rocket. Finally, FSA used B9- guns to
target regime locations at Tal Al-Sakhr
checkpoint in the northern countryside.

southern countryside, and regains locations from ISIL in
the northern countryside

In Aleppo city, Aleppo
Liberation Operations
Room thwarted regime
forces’ attempt to infiltrate
into Asheikh Sa’eed amid
clashes. Meanwhile,
sporadic clashes broke out
between both sides in the
city mainly on the outskirt of
Arrashideen neighborhood.
In the southern countryside,
fierce clashes broke out
between Aleppo Liberation
Operations Room factions
and regime forces backed
by pro-regime militias on
the outskirts of the towns
of Khan Touman, Al-
Maflaseh and Kafer Beesh
under Russian air cover.
Several regime soldiers and
militiamen were killed during
the clashes, including an
Iranian officer, according to
pro-regime Facebook pages.
In the northern countryside,
Infantry Division 16 of the
FSA destroyed a regime
vehicle carrying troops using
a TWO missile in Bashkoy
village amid clashes.
The FSA also managed to
shoot down a regime drone
flying over the village.
FSA destroyed a tank and
military bulldozer for regime
forces in Al Handarat Front.
Meanwhile, clashes broke
out between FSA and ISIL
in the outskirts of Al Bal
village in Northern Aleppo
countryside, accompanied
with mutual artillery shelling
Additionally, FSA factions
regained the village and
hill of Bragidah following
clashes with ISIL that left
more than two ISIL fighters
killed. Moreover, FSA seized
an ISIL tank and destroyed
an ISIL car bomb on the
outskirts of the village.
Factions in northern Syria
unite forces against the
regime and ISIL
Battalions of both “Thwar
Al Sham” and “Al Shamiya
Front” announced their
full unity under the title “Al
Shamiya Front” in an official
statement published on
social media webpages of Al
Shamiya Front.

Hamo, reported to RFS that
the unity came as a result
of the desire by factions
for joint work and unity to
repel assaults of foreign
powers, especially Russia,
Iran, Hezbollah and Iraaqi
militias; adding to these
regime forces attempting
to advance in the north of
Syria supported by Russian
aircraft.
Abo Hamo confirmed to RFS
that this unity will support
fronts in which Shamiya
Front is active, especially
fronts of Aleppo city and
its northern, southern and
western countryside, where
Shamiya Front spread
around 10,000 fighters.
It is notable that Al Shamiya
Front, affiliated with FSA,
is fighting regime forces
and supporting militias in
Aleppo city and its western
and southern countryside,
in addition to fighting ISIL in
northern Aleppo countryside.

FSA targets regime locations in Lattakia northern
countryside
Lattakia
FSA targeted with heavy artillery regime
forces stationed on Nabi Younus hilltop
in Al-Akrad Mountain achieving direct
hits. In addition, FSA expelled regime
forces and their supporting militias
attempting to advance on Rabi’a axis
towards Al Wadi village in Turkmen
mountain. Meanwhile violent clashes
broke out between the two sides on
the outskirts of Al Durrah town as
FSA targeted with a TOW missile an
ammunition vehicle of regime forces
carrying regime members. In addition,
FSA regained control of the strategic
Bashourah hill after inflicting losses
among pro-regime local and Iraqi
militias. Twenty militants were killed
while 35 others were injured, and one
Iraqi militants was captured, according
the media office of the FSA’s First
Coastal Division.
Regime forces gained control of the
hill last Friday following clashes that
left several FSA fighters injured which
forced the FSA to retreat before
regaining control of the hill on Saturday.
