Barbara and I had the
pleasure of attending the
Christmas concert of years 2
and 3 and really enjoyed the
performance of their version
of Red Riding Hood. The
children all played their parts
very well, a credit to all the
staff and Headteacher Mrs
Emma Coates.
TYLAGARW _- Public Meeting
On the 12th December I
attended a public meeting
to listen to concerns from
residents regarding vehicles
doing excessive speeds
through the village down
the old Llanharry Road.
During the meeting it was
agreed that I would ask our
senior engineer in traffic
management to conduct a
survey using ATC (Automatic
Traffic Counts) system to
gather information of speed
of traffic data and suggest a
possible way forward.
Other matters were raised:
Signs obscured by foliage, no
pavements, Drainage ditch
filled in, Checking of bridge
near Boars Head, Possible
weight restrictions to reduce
large vehicles using the lane.
A further meeting was
arranged for 9th January
at 12:00 Noon to discuss
progress.
Level Crossing Closure
reminder
Renewal of the road surface
will necessitate Road crossing
closure from 2300 hrs on
Saturday 9th
January 2016
to 1100hrs on
Sunday 10th
January or until
the work is
complete.

ROTARY SLEIGH
Saturday
December
12th saw the
first outing of
the year for
Llantrisant
Rotary Club
Santa Sleigh. Despite the
weather we managed a
couple of hours between
rain showers to cover the old
areas of Llanharry village. The
Children loved seeing and
talking to Santa.

CLUB
It was a pleasure to host a
reception for the committee
of Llanharry Workingmen’s
Club on the 10th December to
acknowledge their enormous
contribution in supporting my
charities throughout my term
of office.
I would like to publicly thank
them, they are a brilliant
bunch of kind considerate
people, an example of how
people can come together to
support their club and their
community.

Launch of Community Road
Safety Week - Gelli Bowles
Pavilion
This Road Safety campaign
was organised by Age
Connects Morgannwg and
South Wales Police through
concerns from older residents
in the areas of Ystrad, Pentre,
Ton Pentre and Gelli following
concerns and a 300 signature
petition of road safety.

ARTIS Dance 2015 Muni Arts
Centre Pontypridd
A total of 27 dance groups
were performing in this
spectacular event. The
dancers aged from 3 years
to adults attend ARTIS
Community workshops. They
choose their own themes to
inspire choreography for their
dance pieces.

The 1st Anniversary of “Our
Place” Young Parents Group -
